Born in Floyd, Va., he was the son of the late David B. and Alice Pugh Conner, and had been an electrical contractor in Beckley since 1920. He was a member of the Beckley Elks Lodge, the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, and the Beckley Methodist Temple. In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Charles R. McCorkle, of Beckley, and the following brothers and sisters; Mrs. Nina D. Bruster and Mrs. Henrietta C. Kinzer, both of Beckley; Mrs. John Bane of Rhodesville, Va; Mrs. Robert Lee Stuart, of Wichita, Kan; G. D. Conner, of Mullens, and numerous nieces and nephews. The body will be removed from Keyser Funeral Home to the residence of Miss Topsy O'Dell, 126 East Main Street this afternoon, and will be taken to the church one hour before services. Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Thursday from the Beckley Methodist Temple. The Rev. L. D. Roe will officiate, with interment to follow in Sunset Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will include Johnny Gorsica, Harry Mays, Leonard Coley, George Steffey, Paul Bond and Jack Bane. on April 18, 1951.3

Dr. Henrietta Alice Conner died on January 9, 1977 at Beckley, Raleigh Co., West Virginia, at age 82.2 She Services for Dr. Henrietta C. Kinzer, 82, 118 West C St., Beckley, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Keyser-Bryant Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Julian Walthall officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery. Beckley's only female optometrist, Dr. Kinzer died at 6:10 p.m. Sunday in a local hospital after a long illness. Born in Floyd County, Va., she was a daughter of the late Rev. and Mrs. D. B. Conner. She taught school for a while in Wyoming County and there she met and married Charles J. Kinzer, Mullens, a jeweler and watch inspector for the Virginian Railway. He died in 1939. As a graduate of Northren Illinois College of Optometry, Dr. Kinzer began her practice in Mullens in 1917. In 1931 she opened her office on Main Street where she worked until her recent illness. She and her husband were charter members of the Mullens Presbyterian Church and upon moving to Beckley became active members of the Presbyterian Church here. In 1949 Dr. Kinzer received an honorary life membership award from the Presbyterian Women of the Church for her long time services to the church. She was instrumental in organizing the Beckley Council of Churches, known today as Church Women United of Beckley, and was elected to be first president of the group in 1956. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. George V. (Flo) Steffey and Mrs. Paul (Janette) Bond, both of Beckley and Mrs. Leonard (Frances) Coley of South Charleston; a brother, Gannaway D. Conner of Beckley; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. A son, Charles J. Kinzer Jr., was lost in World War II. on January 11, 1977.2

The tract, known as the Jones' tract had been devised to Staples by his father and in 1861 was valued at $1,380 for tax purposes. Taxes for 1861 were $5.52 and taxes for the property were recorded through 1866. on December 23, 1859 at Patrick Co., Virginia.1 He Son George W.
