He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Deborah Marlene Conner; and two brothers, Calvin and Joseph Conner. Surviving are his wife, Amanda Hall Conner of Rockingham; sons, the Rev. Scott Conner and wife Aneva of Rockingham, N.C., and Mark Conner and wife Eliane of the Midwest; brothers, Paul Conner and wife Glenda of Huntington, Bob Conner and wife Edie of Lexington, Ky., David Conner and wife Lois of Sutton; and a sister, Joyce Demaline of Gold Canyon, Ariz. Also surviving are grandchildren, Kristine Levitt, Kassandra, Stuart, Michael, Dustin, Logan, and Alayna Conner; and a great-grandchild, Dylan Conner. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church in Elkview. Harrington Funeral Home in Hamlet, N.C., and Hafer Funeral Home of Elkview, W.Va., are serving the Conner family. on November 28, 2007.4

Gray Jr. Mrs. Summey was supportive to First Baptist Church of Gastonia and to First United Methodist Church of Gastonia the church of her youth, after her husband's death in 1985. She enjoyed bridge, golf and was active in the Tiny Tim Society, Orthopedic Hospital; the Spade and Trowel Garden Club; the Gastonia Debutante Club; and Tea and Topic Book Club until her retirement years. Mrs. Summey is survived by her sons, Lamar Shuford Summey Jr. and wife Ann of Gastonia; William Poff Summey and wife Malinda of Pinehurst; grandsons, Zachary of Charleston, S.C., and Jonathan of Baltimore, Md; sister, Catherine Jackson of Linville; and several beloved nephews, nieces and cousins. Entombment will be 11 a.m. Monday, May 7, 2012, in the Memorial Mausoleum of Gaston Memorial Park with the Rev. Houston Matthews officiating. on May 5, 2012.4

She was preceded in death by her husband Harlan Edward Perrine in 1986. She passed away June 12, 2012 in Longview, Texas.
