Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Grace Crawford Wickline; one stepdaughter, Patricia Crawford Price, Roanoke; four brothers, Eldon and Homer Wickline, both of Gap Mills, W.Va; Gillett Wickline, Pearisburg; Harold Wickline, Charlottesville; two sisters, Wilhemina Thimmes, Fontana, Calif; Hope Grimes, South San Francisco, Calif; two stepgrandsons, Randy and Rodney Price of New Castle. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at the Broyles-McGuire Funeral Chapel in Union, W.Va. with the Rev. Hertzel Mills officiating. Burial will be in the Wickline Family Cemetery in Gap Mills, W.Va. The family requests donations be made to the Sweet Springs Rescue Squad or the Cokesbury United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. on September 30, 1991.²

She was preceded in death by her parents, Pauline T. and Kenneth Blankenship and first husband, Donald Gene Dowdy. She is survived by sons, Daniel McCormick (Kaylee) and Michael McCormick (wife Jessica); siblings, Paula Parker (Joe), Doris Jenkins (Robert), James Blankenship (Donna), and Lisa Hancock (Clyde); special mother-in-law and friend, Katherine McCormick; numerous nieces and nephews. She dedicated her life to being a CNA. She loved the Lord, and she loved praying for everyone. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.⁴ She was born on January 20, 1959 at Roanoke, Virginia.^1,2,3 As of July 20, 1979,her married name was Dowdy.² She married Donald Gene Dowdy on July 20, 1979 at New Castle, Craig Co., Virginia.^4,2,7,8 As of April 6, 1985,her married name was McCormick.² Mary Allison Blankenship married Samuel Andrew McCormick on April 6, 1985 at New Castle, Craig Co., Virginia.² Mary Allison Blankenship and Samuel Andrew McCormick were divorced on September 27, 1990 at Craig Co., Virginia.³ Mary Allison Blankenship died on January 28, 2025 at Virginia at age 66.⁴
