He is survived by and leaves behind his wife of 56 years, Donna Finney of Georgia. Son, Kevin Finney; fiancé, Kimmy Sigmon; grandson, Bryce of Virginia. Brother, Jim and Karen Finney of North Carolina. Special niece, Kristin and TY Gerberding, Kira and Kylie of Kansas. Many more very special family. Curtis's life was very rewarding from Norfolk Southern Railroad, camping families in Virginia. To the neighborhood of friends in clubs like tennis or acting out follies!      William Lansin Trest Jr. was born on December 8, 1942 at Morehead City, Carteret Co., North Carolina.^3,4,5 He married Vickie Lynn Garven, daughter of Larry Garven and Ruby Fern Hall, on December 18, 1971 at Norfolk, Virginia.^1,2,3 William Lansin Trest Jr. died on August 24, 2012 at Texas at age 69.⁴ He William "Bill" Lansin Trest Jr. of North Richland Hills was released from battle with cancer on Friday, Aug. 24, 2012. He was born in Morehead City, N.C., on Dec. 8, 1942, to William Lansin Trest and Elizabeth Macon Pelletier. He played football at Duke University and Texas A&M, then served in the U.S. Navy during Vietnam War and earned numerous service medals. Employed for 27 years at Lockheed Martin, Fort Worth, he coached soccer for his children and refereed until retirement. Loved and missed, never forgotten. Survivors: Wife, Katherine; children, Sandra Trest of North Carolina, Jennifer Trest of Virginia, Jordan Trest of Euless, Evan Trest of North Richland Hills; stepchildren, Travis Hatley and Erin Hatley Peele, John Shields, Kennon Shields Armstrong and Jeannie Shields Balderas; 16 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; five siblings; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. on August 29, 2012.⁴

     Mary Elizabeth Wells was born on October 27, 1924 at Montgomery Co., Virginia.⁴ She married Euray Eldon "Bud" Hall, son of Edgar Eldon "Ed" Hall and Elizabeth Elzora "Eliza" Lawrence, on October 22, 1938 at Christiansburg, Montgomery Co., Virginia.^1,2 As of October 22, 1938,her married name was Hall. Mary Elizabeth Wells and Euray Eldon "Bud" Hall were divorced on September 12, 1950 at Montgomery Co., Virginia.⁵

     Lt. James Charles Holzmann was buried at Prescott National Cemetery, 500 Highway 89 North, Prescott, Yavapai Co., Arizona.^3,4 He James Charles Holzman, Sep 24, 1947 - Jul 31, 2016. James (Jim) Charles Holzmann, age 68, passed away on Sunday, July 31 2016, at the Yavapai Regional Medical Center in Prescott, Arizona. Jim is survived by his wife, Leslie Holzmann, and seven children: James Holzmann (Kristine), Kirsten Long (Kevin), Lara Swinger (Mark), Rachael Rogers (Adam), Emily Holzmann, Nanci Bosick (Shaun), and Leanne Shearer (Jonathan). He is survived by 19 grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Kaitlyn Long, Karson Long, Olivia Swinger, Madeline Swinger, Elizabeth Rogers, Samuel Rogers, Colton Rogers, Riley Rogers, Dominic Holzmann, Walt Holzmann, Olen Carling, Jacob Bosick (Tracy), Levi Bosick, Shayann Bosick, Kelly Lee (Ryan), Emma Lenihan, Eden Shearer, Lindsay Bosick, and Calvin Bosick. Two brothers and one sister survive him: Bill Holzmann (Dorothy Jean), Bob Holzmann (Gweth), and Ginny Wonner (Mike). Additionally, many beloved family and friends survive him. One daughter, Loren Holzmann, preceded Jim in death. Jim grew up in North Olmsted, Ohio, the son of Clarence and Ruth Holzmann. Starting at an early age, he devoted his life to the service of others. From fixing trains for local youth as a teenager, serving his country in the jungles of Vietnam, fulfilling security consultation and contractor duties for the U.S. government, acting as a volunteer medic for Yavapai County Backcountry Search and Rescue, instructing at Yavapai College, to providing mentorship and encouragement to fellow veterans in his final days, he exemplifies what it means to live a life of selfless service. Being a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, the motto Semper Fidelis was a source of lifelong pride and passion for Jim. He served seven years with distinction in Vietnam with the 1st Force Reconnaissance Company, where he earned numerous personal and unit commendations, including the Silver Star. After his platoon commander was severely injured by grenade shrapnel, he exposed himself to extreme personal danger to direct a counterattack, which resulted in a decisive victory in the face of overwhelming enemy odds. The discipline and patriotism he learned in the Marines never left him, as friends and family will attest. Jim was also a lifelong academic, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the Case Western Reserve University, Master of Arts in Search and Rescue from Prescott College, and a Juris Doctorate from the Western State University College of Law. He distinguished himself as a trial attorney for many years, running his own, private law practice in southern California, where he took a key interest in representing first responders. A man of resounding spirituality, compassion, love, courage, and understanding; Jim’s legacy is carried by all that have had the honor and privilege of knowing him. A memorial service and interment observance with full military honors will be held in the Prescott National Cemetery.⁴ He was born on September 24, 1947 at Ohio.^2,4 He married Jeanne Mae Helmandollar, daughter of Curtis Ben Helmandollar and Frances Vest Lawrence, on December 30, 1972 at Salem, Roanoke Co., Virginia.² Lt.      Suzanne Knoppow was born on February 8, 1935 at Detroit, Wayne Co., Michigan. As of December 11, 1954,her married name was Appel.² She married Leslie Theodore Appel on December 11, 1954 at Los Angeles Co., California. Suzanne Knoppow died on October 30, 2017 at Las Vegas, Clark Co., Nevada, at age 82.⁴

She was a member of the Williamson Road Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star. She loved taking ceramic classes through the church, and made beautiful ceramics for family and friends, which will be forever cherished. She was an excellent seamstress and made clothes for her children when they were young, including prom dresses for her daughters. She enjoyed quilting and canning vegetables from the garden. She was a humble, kind, hardworking, loving and loyal wife, mother and grandmother ("Bea-Bea") who always put her family first. She was a shining star who will be forever loved, deeply missed and always remembered by her family. She is preceded in death by her parents, Stanley Earl and Audrey Bea Carr Lawrence; daughter, Fredrica Dawn Harmon Roberts; brother, Clay Earl Lawrence; and sister, Marie June James. She is survived by her deeply devoted and loving husband of over 70 years, Frederick Maurice Harmon, of Riner; daughter and son-in-law, Stephana (Stacy) Maureen Harmon Barton and Hubert C. He was a loving and devoted husband for over 70 years, and a caring father and grandfather who always put his family first. While he was able, he loved cutting wood on his farm in Check. He was a good and kind man who made many friends and brought a smile to many faces. He was an avid flower and vegetable gardener. He loved feeding and watching the birds, and recognized each bird by its song. He will be remembered by many who enjoyed rock hopping with him on Back Creek. He enlisted in the United States Navy at age 17 on February 14, 1942. He was commissioned on the U.S.S. Alabama August 16, 1942 and completed Navy Training Class for Boatswain's Mate Second Class on July 18, 1944. He received his honorable discharge on October 24, 1945. He worked for Shepherds's Auto Supply in Roanoke, and later the General Electric Company in Salem from 1956–1985, where for many years he ran the GE employee store.He is preceded in death by his wife of over 70 years, Stanley Bea Lawrence Harmon, daughter, Fredrica Harmon Roberts, parents, Edgar Allen and Mary Slusher Harmon, brothers, Norman Harmon, Marvin Harmon and Richard Harmon, sisters, Pauline Weeks, Senora Caldwell Keith, and Lucille Lee, and nephew, Phil Weeks.
