A second-grade teacher for much of her career in the Baltimore county schools, she began teaching at the Beckleysville School and later taught at the 6th District Consolidated School, the Bare Hits, Riderwood, Dover Road and Randallstown schools before starting to teach at Campfield. A native of Floyd, Va., the former Lucy Kelley graduated from high school there before moving with her family to Whitehall. She graduated in 1925 from what is now Towson State University, and later took education courses at the Johns Hopkins University, Columbia University and the University of Maryland. Fond of gardening, she also made braided rugs and was a still life and landscape painter. Her husband, William C. Hull, is a retired principal of the Westowne Elementary School. In addition to her husband, her survivors include three sisters, Inez Cannaday, of Monkton, Olive McNeil, of Baltimore, and Blanche Logan, of Lusby, and a brother, H. Lawrence Kelley, of Monkton. on December 22, 1982.9

He was captain of the soccer team at both schools. In 1939, Mr. Hull earned a bachelor's degree from Columbia University. He later obtained a master's degree from the University of Maryland and did graduate work at the Johns Hopkins University. He was a member of the Ames United Methodist Church, the Mount Moriah Lodge of the Masons and the Liberty-Woodmoor Kiwanis Club. Active in the Maryland and national retired teachers associations, he was also a member of the Teachers Association of Baltimore County and a life member of the National Education Association and the Maryland Congress of Parent-Teacher Associations. His wife, the former Lucy Kelley, died December 20. He is survived by a nephew, John B. Wilhelm, of Phoenix. on June 28, 1983.10
