Marshall, age 75, of Cool Ridge, WV, passed away at her home on Saturday, November 28, 2015. Born on April 7, 1940, in Beckley, she was the daughter of the late Donzie Conner and Beulah Meadows Conner. Mrs. Marshall was a retired LPN, retiring from Appalachian Regional Hospital in Beckley. She was a former member of the Cool Ridge Missionary Baptist Church. Mrs. Marshall enjoyed singing in church, baking, and making holiday specials for her family. She was a loving mother and grandmother, who always put her family first. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Marshall, by two brothers Harlan Conner and C.E. Conner, by a sister, Nadine Costa, and also by an infant sister. Those survivors left to cherish her memory include her children: Gary Marshall and his wife Rose of Cool Ridge, and Alan Marshall of Cool Ridge. Sisters: “Sissy” Hicks of Lake Milton, Ohio, Janet Riffe and her husband Dane of Jumping Branch, Sue Butler and her husband Curtis of Charlotte, NC, Sandy Payne of Texas, Yvonne Hatcher and her husband Les of Beckley, Diane Cottle of Grandview, and Debbie McNamara and her husband Danny of Birmingham, Alabama. Three grandchildren, Gary Marshall, Holly Carr, and Thomas Walker; great-grandchildren, Ethan and Danielle Carr. Funeral services will be conducted at the Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Home Shady Spring Chapel on Thursday, December 3, 2015, at 2 p.m. with Pastor Roger Richmond officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park in Beckley. on December 1, 2015.4
