Hope enjoyed music, drawing, writing poetry and her two dogs, Toby and Grizzly.

     Linda Carol Conner After a brief but fierce battle against cancer, Linda Emerson of 1187 Piney Road, Gretna died April 7, 2009 at her mother's residence surrounded by her numerous family and friends. Born April 15, 1957, she was the daughter of Myrna Conner and the late Garnett Conner. She is survived by her husband David Emerson; beloved son and his wife Jonathan and Melissa Emerson; brothers Leroy, Tony, and John Conner; sisters Janet Fuller and Susan Slaughter; and dearly loved nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. She was employed at Chatham Cleaners for many years. She loved spending time on the lake, boating and swimming with her husband and children. Her favorite place to be was at home watching westerns, surrounded by her animals. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of the oncology department of Lynchburg General. They did a remarkable job with giving her the best care there is to be had. Thank you Dr. Paul for not giving up, and giving Linda the time she so craved.
