She was a member of the Alderson Presbyterian church. A daughter of the late T. J. Riffe and Mrs. Betty Eleanor Riffe, she was born at Riffe in 1894. She was the wife of C. A. Dixon, who survives. Also surviving, in addition to her husband, are one son, Thomas W. Dixon, Alderson; two brothers, C. S. Riffe, Wichita Falls, Texas, and T. T. Riffe, Columbus, Ohio; two sisters, Mrs. W. D. Parris, Beckley, and Mrs. Dana Marsh, Columbus, Ohio. Funeral services will be held at the Alderson Presbyterian Church Sunday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Randolph F. Johnson of Alderson officiating. Burial will follow in the Alderson Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Carl Bivins, Robert S. Johnson, Grayson Housby, R. C. Housby, Dr. Max W. Miller, Eugene C. Gwinn. Mrs. Dixon had a host of friends, and was active in the church and following clubs: Woman's Club, Civic Club, and the Woman's Auxiliary of the Presbyterian Church. She had been a resident of Alderson for the past 26 years. The body will be removed from the Lobhan Funeral Home Saturday afternoon to the residence. on March 26, 1949.5
