     Daphne Louise Wimmer was buried at Huffville Union Church Cemetery, Terrys Fork, Floyd Co., Virginia.⁴ She was born on April 16, 1921 at Floyd Co., Virginia.^1,12 She married James Ralph McNiel, son of James Herbert McNiel and Lura N. Richards, on July 12, 1941 at Floyd Co., Virginia.^1,13,12,3,4 As of July 12, 1941,her married name was McNiel. Daphne Louise Wimmer Ralph and Daphne McNiel celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on July 14 with a reception given by their children at the parents' home in Pilot. Mrs. McNiel is the former Daphne Wimmer. Their marriage took place on July 12, 1941, in Floyd County. The couple, who have resided for the past 40 years on their farm in Montgomery County, have 6 children and 8 grandchildren. Their children are Sue Altizer, Pilot; Carol Clower, Roanoke; June Wallace, Issaquah, Wa; Betty McNiel, Bellevue, Wa; Dan McNiel, Pilot; and the late Mary Ann Poff. Mr. McNiel is retired from Harvey Chevrolet and Mrs. McNiel is retired from Roses Stores, Inc.

Graveside Service will be held 11 a.m. on Tuesday, January 11, 2010, at Huffville Cemetery conducted by Pastor Darren Landon. Daphne requested no flowers please.      Alvin Ray Wimmer was buried at Huffville Union Church Cemetery, Terrys Fork, Floyd Co., Virginia.³ He was born on August 16, 1927 at Floyd Co., Virginia.¹ He married Marie June Vest, daughter of Roy Allen Vest and Malinda Alice McNeil, on November 1, 1952 at Floyd Co., Virginia.^1,10,11,2,3 Alvin Ray Wimmer died on April 22, 2014 at Virginia at age 86.³ He Alvin Ray Wimmer, 86, of Christiansburg, passed away on Tuesday, April 22, 2014. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Judy Kaye Wimmer; brothers, Lamar, Harless, Wesley, and Winston; sisters, Marie Wimmer and Daphne McNiel. He was the son of the late Edgar and Claude Wimmer. Ray is survived by his wife of 61 years, Marie June Vest Wimmer; daughter, Janet Raye Wimmer; sisters, Lois Epperly and Dorothy Meredith of Christiansburg; sisters-in-law, Vera Clower, Kaula Dowdy, and Clara (Leo) Southern; brothers-in-law, L.C. Vest and LeeRoy (Carol) Vest; as well as many nieces and nephews. Ray was a very involved member of the Huffvillle United Methodist Church by singing in the choir, teaching Sunday School classes and supporting the church with his prayers and attendance. He retired from the Virginia Department of Transportation in 1990. He loved to bowl and enjoyed all the many friends he made bowling in the Up and At'Em Senior league. He loved to work with his flowers and mow his yard. He had managed and cared for Huffville Cemetery for many years. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the many family and friends for your support and care during Ray's declining health. Also special thanks to Carilion Home Health and Carilion Hospice for the care he received over the past few months. The family received friends on Wednesday, April 23, 2014, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 24, 20144, at 11 a.m. at the Huffville United Methodist Church, 1078 Huffville Road, Pilot, with Pastor Darren Landon officiating. Dorothy Mae Wimmer died on April 14, 2020 at Virginia at age 90.⁹ She Dorothy Wimmer Meredith, age 90, went to be with her Lord on April 14, 2020, at English Meadows after a long battle with dementia. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Lewis Meredith; her parents, Edgar and Claude Wimmer; brothers and spouses, Harless and LZ Wimmer, Ray Wimmer, Wesley Wimmer, Winston and Irene Wimmer, Lamer and Rachel Wimmer; sisters and spouses, Daphne and Ralph McNiel, Marie Wimmer; brothers-in-law, Charlie Epperly and Roy and Katherine Meredith. She is survived by her daughter, Vickie Charlton (Dubby); son, James Meredith (Sherry); grandchildren, Brad Meredith (Rebecca), and Sara Morris (Tyler); great-grandchildren, Collen Meredith, Angelina Meredith and Aubrey Meredith; sister, Lois Epperly; sister-in-law, Marie June Wimmer and Diana Wimmer, and many nieces and nephews. She was a loving mother and grandmother, focusing on raising her family. She was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church where she was a member of the circle. She loved her church. She and Lewis loved to travel and took numerous bus tours. Myrtle Beach was an especially special place. Due to the present Corona Virus situation, there will be a private graveside service for immediate family on Thursday April 16, 2020. on April 15, 2020.⁹

     Rachel Angle was buried at Huffville Union Church Cemetery, Terrys Fork, Floyd Co., Virginia.^1,3 She was born on April 3, 1921 at Thorpe, McDowell Co., West Virginia.^4,2,3 She married Lamer Lee Wimmer, son of Edgar Hamilton Wimmer and Lela Charlotte "Claudie" Ridinger, on April 28, 1945 at Christiansburg, Montgomery Co., Virginia.^1,2 As of April 28, 1945,her married name was Wimmer.² Rachel Angle died on November 6, 2010 at Christiansburg, Montgomery Co., Virginia, at age 89.^1,3 She Rachel Angle Wimmer, 89, of Christiansburg, died Saturday, November 6, 2010 at her home. She was a long time member of the First Church of God on Cannan Road, Christiansburg and worked for Angle Florist in Christiansburg for twenty five years. The daughter to the late Earnest J. and Eva Angle she was also preceded in death by her husband; Lamer Wimmer, brothers; Paul and William Jack Angle, and sister; Lorene Wiseman.
