Wingfield and brothers, Clement Cole, Oliver Cole, Palmer Cole, Leslie Cole; sisters, Alverta Cole Lawrence, Sylvia Cole Owens; and her son, Fred L. Poff, Jr. She is survived by a brother, Aaron Cole and wife, Ruth of Franklin County and a sister, Ora Cooper of Roanoke. Also surviving are grandchildren, Ronald L. Poff and wife, Vickie of Fincastle, Denise P. Durham and husband, Kenneth W. of Roanoke, Doreen P. Tolley of Fort Worth, Texas; great-grandchildren, Roy L. Poff, Carrie L. Poff, Ryan N. Poff, Jesse Durham, and Megan Durham, all of Roanoke. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive her. A graveside service will be held at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. on October 17, 2003.1

Surviving are four daughters: Mrs. Buster Weddle, Mrs. Billie Padgett, Miss Myrtle Poff and Miss Edith Poff, RFD 2, and seven grandchildren. Interment will be in Fairview. on October 5, 1956.2
