Spangler; three sons, Michael Roderick Spangler and his wife, Virginia, of Newport News, Connell Dean Spangler and his wife, Jacqueline, of Williamsburg and Ronald "Edwin" Spangler of Earlysville; one sister, Odessa Walters of Pearisburg; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Pleasant and Nannie Jones. Burial will follow in Peninsula Memorial Park. on February 25, 2001.3

Paulus was born in Floyd, Va., on June 20, 1930, a son of the late Noah B. and Bonnie Spangler Moore. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Nita B. Hill. Paulus served the Roanoke City Fire Department for 30 years, retiring as a Captain in 1982. He was a member of Lakeland Masonic Lodge #190, and was a faithful member of Grandin Court Baptist Church for 54 years and was devoted to the Disciples Sunday School Class. Paulus is survived by his devoted and loving wife of 58 years, India Ingram Moore; daughters, Susan Huff and husband, Sandy, and Terri Lewis and husband, Tom; son, Paul Moore Jr. and wife, Melody, all of Roanoke; grandchildren, Erin Moore, Sandy Huff, Trisha Martin and husband, Brandon, Alan Moore, Traci Lewis, and Scott Huff; and brothers, J.D. Moore, and Earl Moore and wife, Barbara, all of Roanoke. A service celebrating his life will be held at noon on Wednesday, April 28, 2010, at Oakey's South Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Kevin Meadows, the Rev. Charles Krause, and the Rev. Dr. Chris Monroe officiating. Interment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens with a Masonic Graveside Service conducted by Lakeland Masonic Lodge. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Ministries Activity Center Building Fund at Grandin Court Baptist Church, 2660 Brambleton Avenue, Roanoke, Va. 24015 in Paulus' memory. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 27, 2010, from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. at Oakey's South Chapel, 540-989-3131. on April 26, 2010.4
