Her loving husband, Elwin Leon Lawrence, preceded Mrs. Lawrence in death. She is the daughter of Noah and Callie Collins, who passed away when she was a young child. Three brothers and three sisters also preceded her in death. In her younger years, Mrs. Lawrence worked as a salesperson for Waters' Jewelry, and Margaret Spangler's and Nelson's dress shops in Princeton, W.Va. She also worked for Patterson and Revco drug stores in Roanoke, Va. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi business sorority. She is survived by daughters, Sharon Lawrence Finley and husband, Bill of Bloomington, Ind. and Robin Lawrence Hegner and husband, Joe of Midlothian, Va; three grandchildren, whom she adored, Holly Beth Mull of Mesa, Ariz., Ryan Lawrence Mull and wife, Lora of Fishers, Ind. and Michael Lawrence Hegner of Midlothian, Va; sister, Bessie Collins Crabtree of Panther, W.Va; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Oakey's South Chapel in Roanoke on Friday, April 29, 2005 from 5 to 8 p.m. Services will be held at Oakey's South Chapel on Saturday, April 30, 2005 at 11:30 a.m. The Rev. Frank Feather will officiate. Interment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Arrangements by Oakey's South Chapel.

She is survived by her father and mother, Larry and Glenda Lawrence of Christiansburg; sister and brother-in-law, Jill and Trevan Zosel of Bothell,Wash; her much loved niece and nephew, Toriana and Bryson; her paternal grandparents, Marvin and Ramona Lawrence of Blacksburg; numerous aunts and uncles; 12 special cousins, one of whom was extra special to her, Takara Howard. We would also like to thank Rebekah Hall who has been her caretaker and friend for the past three and a half years. Rebekah helped Michele with her chores and took her out into the community for activities which Michele enjoyed. Rebekah always came in with a smile and Michele loved her so much. Michele endured many health issues in her lifetime, however she kept an upbeat attitude. She had a big heart for children and animals and most importantly she loved and trusted her heavenly Father. Funeral Services will be conducted Monday, June 26, 2017 at 11 a.m. in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Christiansburg. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, donations in Michele's honor may be made to Intellectual Disabilities Agency of the NRV, P O Box 42, Christiansburg, VA 24068. Arrangements by McCoy Funeral Home, Blacksburg. on June 25, 2017.2
