Jack served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He retired from Sherwin Williams Paint Co after 32 years of employment. After retirement he was an avid golfer and enjoyed spending time with his family and watching his grandchildren play sports. He was a longtime member of St. Paul United Methodist Church. The family would like to give special thanks to the staff at Kroontje Health Care Center and Carilion New River Hospice for the excellent care provided to Jack during his illness. Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2020, from 6 until 8 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home. Funeral Services are on Sunday, June 28, 2020, at 2 p.m. in the Horne Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Paul Song officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Cemetery. on June 27, 2020.2

Lois was employed with Eaton Corporation for fifteen years and later with ITT Industries, from which she retired. She loved attending church services at Daleville Baptist Church. In Lois’ free time, she enjoyed bowling, working in her yard, and completing puzzles and word searches. Spencer, of Pilot, was born on August 8, 1939, to Charles and Clara Coleman Spencer. Left this earthy life to his heavenly home to meet his precious Tenny (Christine Eanes married November 26, 1960) on Tuesday, January 11, 2022, at the age 82. He was retired by Montgomery Furniture.      Ronney Alvis Eanes was born on April 18, 1943 at Pilot, Montgomery Co., Virginia.3,5 He married Brenda Christine Dudley on March 19, 1965 at Christiansburg, Montgomery Co., Virginia.1,2,4,5 Ronney Alvis Eanes died on January 24, 2020 at Virginia at age 76.5 He Ronney Alvis Eanes, age 76, of Pilot, passed away on Friday, January 24, 2020, at his home. He was born in Pilot, Va., on April 18, 1943, to the late Roscoe Alvie and Mary Edith Lutz Eanes. He was also preceded in death by his son, Ricky A. Eanes and sister, Christine Eanes Spencer. Ronney retired after 35 years of law enforcement, having served with the Virginia Tech Police Department, Montgomery County Sheriff's Office and the Christiansburg Police Department. Ronney was a member of McDaniel Masonic Lodge No. 86 AF & AM and the F.O.P. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Brenda Dudley Eanes; daughter and son-in-law, Melissa Eanes and Byron H. Dickerson; granddaughter, Amanda D. Dickerson; grandson, Tanner A. Eanes; daughter-in-law, Whitney Chumbley Eanes; brother-in-law, Charles E. Spencer; and sisters-in-law, Wanda D. Funkhouser, Merle D. Nelson, Sonja D. Hollandsworth and husband, Ren. A memorial service will be conducted on Sunday, January 26, 2020, at 6 p.m. in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Charles E. Spencer, the Rev. Mark D. Spencer, and the Rev. Ronald D. Spencer officiating. on January 26, 2020.5

     Elsie Marie Akers was buried at Shawsville Congregational Holiness Church Cemetery, Shawsville, Montgomery Co., Virginia.4,2 She Elsie Marie Clower, 96 of Shawsville, went to be with her Lord on June 27, 2023. She was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Elsie Akers; husband, Warren "Howard" Clower; siblings, Sylvia Akers, and Sonny Akers; and son-in-law, Roger Maxey. Left to cherish her memories are her daughter, Margaret Maxey; grandsons, Bo Maxey and wife Tammy, Tony Maxey, and wife Melissa; great-grandchild, Isaac Maxey; sisters, Roselee Musselman (Curtis), Earline Smith; sister-in-law, Betty Akers; as well as several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be at Shawsville Congregational Holiness Church. Interment will follow in the Church cemetery. The family would like to thank the nurses and aids at the Warm Hearth Kroontje Nursing Home for all the love and care that was given to her.2 She was born on May 9, 1926 at Montgomery Co., Virginia.5 She married Warren Howard Clower, son of William Henry "Will" Clower and Stella Elvie/Elva Maxey, on January 10, 1944 at Christiansburg, Montgomery Co., Virginia.1,6,2 As of January 10, 1944,her married name was Clower.1 Elsie Marie Akers died on June 27, 2023 at Shawsville, Montgomery Co., Virginia, at age 97.2
