Irene is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Tom and Judy Bibbs of Roanoke; daughters and son-in-law Gloria and Sam Adkins and Shirley Bibbs all of Roanoke; daughter-in-law, Sharon Bibbs; grandchildren: Ashlee Zahner, Russon Bibbs, Lance Bibbs, Hannah Bibbs, Dawn Parris, and James Cooley; numerous great-grandchildren; brothers: Sanford King, George King, Oscar King, Jr. all of Salem, and Roger King of Pocahontas, West Virginia; sisters Jane Hale and Liddie Hale both of Salem, and Linda King of Christiansburg; and many nieces and nephews. To his grandchildren he was known as pawpaw, to his trucking friends as "Mike" and to his church family as Brother Palmer.
