Thomas Gerald Puckett Thomas Gerald Puckett, May 5th, 1934 - March 7th, 2015. Tom was a country boy through and through! Born in Smythe County, VA. He grew up as part of a large family of nine. He loved creeks and hollers, nature, animals and anything outdoors. In 1960 he met Jan. They made their home in Columbus, OH, and lived there until 1975. They raised their children, Diana, Syreda, Earl and Stephanie. Psalms 83:18 and Matthew 6:9,10 were life changing scriptures for him. When he learned that God's personal name is Jehovah and that Christ is his son and mediator, Tom's life took on new meaning! In 1969, Tom & Jan were baptized as Jehovah's Witnesses. In 1975 the Puckett's moved to Arizona for 6 months in the hopes that the milder climate would help Tom's arthritis. Those 6 months turned into 30 years. While in AZ, they had the joy of raising their grandsons, Earl Thomas and Steven. In 2012 they moved to CA due to health issues. Tom was a son, a brother, a husband, a father, an uncle, a grandfather, a great grandfather and a friend. He loved each and every one of his relatives and it is very hard to say good-bye.
