Hudnall Jr. and Elizabeth A. "Eliza" Poff, on December 24, 1895 at Kanawha Co., West Virginia.1,2,4,5 As of December 24, 1895,her married name was Hudnall. Mary Jane Fauber died on January 21, 1965 at Holly Grove, Kanawha Co., West Virginia, at age 86.2,4 She HUDNALL, Mrs. Mary Jane — 86 of Holly Grove, on Paint Creek died Thursday at the home of a son, Robert of Holly Grove, following a long illness. Mrs. Hudnall, widow of W. D. Hudnall, had been a resident of Holly Grove for 58 years. She was a member of the Holly Grove Baptist Church, where she taught children until her illness last May. Also surviving are four other sons, Wilburt and Ray of Holly Grove, Kenneth of Handley, and Joe of Crown Hill; four daughters, Mrs. C. B. Straw and Mrs. Charles Semones? of Belle, Mrs. D. W. Hope and Mrs. George Anderson of Holly Grove; three brothers, Joe Fauber of Montgomery, Robert Fauber of Quincy and Bernard Fauber of New Martinsville; two sisters, Mrs. Van Vandal of Plainfield, N.J., and Mrs. Walter Vandal of Hansford, 31 grandchildren, 48 great-grandchildren, and nine great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Hundall had requests that flowers be ommitted and donations be made to the heart and polio funds. The body at Pryor Funeral Home in East Bank. on January 22, 1965.4

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Bessie Clark and Mrs. Nell Kelly; one son, Garnet Hudnall, and one brother, William Hudnall, and nine grandchildren on May 29, 1934.3

The body is at the Elk Funeral Home. on August 6, 1962.9

Jessica was a beautiful artistic person that could inspire beauty in the clients she served as a hairdresser and in the students she taught at Brandon Middle School. She would choose controversial topics to discuss in order to get her students to think and excel in academic knowledge. She often expressed how much she wanted them to learn, graduate and have a better quality of life. She was predeceased by her father and mother, David and Hazel Craighead and brother-in-law, Albert Dewey Hendrick. She is survived by her family that loved her dearly; her sister, Barbara Hendrick; nephew and wife, Patrick and Amy Abbott; niece and husband, Beth and James Lynskey; and her greatnephews that she loved dearly, Adam Blake and David (Kai) Lynskey, all of Roanoke, Va. Also survived are her fiance, Ricky Speight, of Carrollton, Va. and her best "childhood friend" Jim Booth, of Ocean View, Va; and her ex-husband, Glen Dyer, of Berryville, Va. She also leaves behind a host of friends and students that she impacted their lives in some special way. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Funeral services will be at 12 p.m. on Saturday, November 8, 2008, at Oakey's North Chapel. The Rev. Ken Dupin will officiate. Interment will be in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Saturday from 11 a.m. until service time at Oakey's North Chapel, 540-362-1237. on November 7, 2008.9

After Viscose closed, she worked in several nursing homes and also in private homes taking care of the invalid. She was a resident of Raleigh Court Health Care for six years. She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Rachel Carter; sisters, Sally Johnson, Roxie Sisson, Effie Abshire and Rachel King; brothers, Morgan Simpson, Robert Simpson and Merdith Simpson. Mourning her passing are her grandson, Glenn Carter and wife, Karen; great-granddaughter, Erica Carter; great-nephew, Bobby Johnson, whom she raised, all of Roanoke; brother, Bill Simpson, of Salem; stepson, Don Craighead, of Vinton; her niece and caretaker, Virginia Mae King Agnew, of Roanoke; 10 nieces and one nephew. Burial will be in Sherwood Memorial Park on September 30, 1999.1
