     David Gene Hudnall was buried at Montgomery Memorial Park, Route 60, London, Kanawha Co., West Virginia.1 He was born on December 20, 1946 at Dry Branch, Kanawha Co., West Virginia.1 He died on November 5, 1963 at Chelyan, Kanawha Co., West Virginia, at age 16; Died in a hunting accident.1,2 He David Gene Hudnall, 17, of Chelyan, died instantly when struck by the blast of a 12-gauge shotgun accidentally fired by a companion while a group of five boys hunted rabbits on Little Creek. It is near Chelyan. Trooper G. G. Lanham said Hudnall had just killed a rabbit and a 17-year-old friend ran to see it. His gun discharged and struck Hudnall in the back of the neck and between the shoulders from close range. Lanham charged the youth with negligent shooting and ertified the case to Juvenile Court. Hudnall survivors are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Hudnall of Chelyan; four sisters, Mrs. Betty Lipke of Fayetteville, N. C., Delores, Nancy and Janet at home; a brother, Bobby Lee, at home; his grandmothers, Mrs. Myrtle Hudnall and Mrs. Mary Hamilton, both of Dry Branch. The body is at the Pryor Funeral Home in East Bank. on November 6, 1963.2
