She was blessed with seven grandchildren, Angela Smith, Christy Brammer, Caroline Kingery, Kevin Whitaker, Timothy Kingery II, Rebekah Kingery, and Whitney Kingery; four great-grandchildren, Madison Smith, Justin Tyree, Drew Smith, and Brandon Brammer. She is also survived by a brother-in-law, Carnell Moore of Boynton Beach, Fla. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, November 30, 2005 at 1 p.m. in the Merrimac Pentecostal Holiness Church with Pastor Jerry Sloss officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Christiansburg. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday evening at McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Dr., Blacksburg. on November 29, 2005.1

She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Rev. Charles Raymond Wood. She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Sharla and Carl Conner of Riner; granddaughter, Amanda Conner, also of Riner; and one great-granddaughter, Cheyenne Witt. She also leaves behind several nieces, nephews and cousins. Helen loved to travel and also leaves behind her best friend and traveling buddy, Barbara Journell. Helen spent a fulfilled life helping others. She was a nurse for many years. She worked at New Altamons Hospital, Montgomery Regional Hospital and Radford Hospital and retired from the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office. After retirement, she was very active in the Pilot Ruritan Club and the RSVP of Montgomery County. She was a beloved member and pianist of The Little White Church in Terry's Fork for many years. Helen will be missed by many but we should take comfort in the knowledge that she is now singing in God's Heavenly Choir. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday evening at the Horne Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 18, 2005 at the Horne Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Neal Turner and the Rev. Donnie Marshall officiating. Maymon was a devoted husband, father, and "Papa Maymon," who was a hard worker and took pride in his daily accomplishments. Maymon proudly served his country for four years in the United States Army, and throughout his life he always spoke fondly of the people he worked with at Continental Homes and the people he met through Furrow's Farm Machinery. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Eldridge and Nellie Wray Furrow; his mother-in-law, Alice Altice Hall; his wife, Phyllis Ann Hall Furrow; sister and brother-in-law, Arnita Furrow Mason and Bob; brother and sister-in-law, Stafford Furrow and Bertha; brother-in-law, Duke Motley. Surviving are his sister, Bevelene Furrow Motley; and brother and sister-in-law, Glenn and Lorene Furrow. Also surviving are his son and daughter-in-law, Wes and Becky Furrow; and daughter and son-in-law, Allison Leigh and Darren Robertson; as well as seven grandchildren who were the light of his life, Reece, Madison, Hanna, and Ryan Robertson, and Adam, Levi, and Ainsley Furrow. He is also survived by several very special nieces and nephews. Maymon will be dearly missed by all of his family and friends. Interment will follow in Franklin Memorial Park. on May 3, 2016.3
