     Betty Jean Presnell Betty Jean Presnell Cockey, 59 of Charles Town, passed away Thursday, October 31, 2013 at the Jefferson Medical Center. Born February 14, 1954 in Beckley, WV she was the daughter of the late Albert Haze Presnell and June Roop Presnell. She worked for Shore Stop as an assistant manager. She is survived by two sons, Robert Barger of Cocoa, Fl and Tim Presnell of Longneck, DE, one daughter, Melissa Zuckerman and husband Howard of St. Lucie, Fl, adapted daughter, Teresa Gauvin, sister Alberta McKenzie of Warren, PA, eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Tom Barger and sister, Brenda Fix.³ Her married name was Barger.³ Her married name was Cocky.⁴ She married Unknown Cocky.⁴ Betty Jean Presnell married Tom Barger.³ Betty Jean Presnell was born on February 14, 1954 at Beckley, Raleigh Co., West Virginia.³ She died on October 31, 2013 at Ranson, Jefferson Co., West Virginia, at age 59.³

     Alberta Carol Presnell Alberta C. McKenzie, 69, of Warren, passed away on Wednesday, May 15, 2019, at home surrounded by her family. Alberta was born on February 23, 1950 to the late Albert and Virginia (Roop) Presenll. Alberta enjoyed gardening, her puppies and computers. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family. She is survived by her children, Jack (Sherri) Harvey, Brian (Rhenan) Harvey, Steve (Brett) Harvey, Billie McKenzie and Mary McKenzie; her 8 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her sisters, Brenda Fix and Betty Cocky.² Her married name was McKenzie.³ Her married name was McKay.⁴ She married Unknown McKay.⁴ Alberta Carol Presnell married Unknown McKenzie.³ Alberta Carol Presnell was born on February 23, 1950.² As of 1965,her married name was Harvey.² She married Jackie Lee Harvey in 1965.² Alberta Carol Presnell died on May 15, 2019 at Warren, Warren Co., Pennsylvania, at age 69.²

     Sarah Ann "Sallie" Wimmer was buried at Siner Cemetery, off Rt. 645, Copper Hill, Floyd Co., Virginia.^3,2 She was born on April 11, 1829 at Franklin Co., Virginia; Her death certificate has a birth date of Apr 31, 1829!^3,4,2 She married Harvey Preston DeWeese, son of Peter DeWeese and Esther Poff, on June 3, 1845 at Franklin Co., Virginia.¹ As of June 3, 1845,her married name was DeWeese. Sarah Ann "Sallie" Wimmer died on February 15, 1917 at Locust Grove, Floyd Co., Virginia, at age 87.²

     John Cleve McGhee was buried at Monte Vista Park Cemetery, Bluefield, Mercer Co., West Virginia.^4,6 He was born on September 1, 1870 at Floyd Co., Virginia.^4,6 He married Malinda Alice Richards, daughter of William J. Richards and Melvina Catherine Epperly, on March 9, 1892 at Floyd Co., Virginia.^3,7,8 John Cleve McGhee died on April 21, 1938 at Bluefield, Mercer Co., West Virginia, at age 67.^4,6 He J. C. McGhee, 60 a resident of Bluefield for the past thirty-five years, died at 8:25 o'clock last night at, his home, 315 Bluefield avenue, victim of a paralytic stroke. Mr. McGhee, a retired employee of the city of Bluefield, had been a conspicious figure around the Salvation Army citadel for a number of years, having assisted the various members of the corps in different lines of work. Funeral arrangements will be announced later. Mr. McGhee is survived by four sons, Preston, Charles, Leonard McGhee, all of Bluefield, and the Rev. Albert H. McGee, of Winding Gulf, and two daughters, Mrs. Joe Shepherd, of Bluefield, and Miss Lena McGhee, also of this city. His wife died a few years ago. Mr. and Mrs. McGhee also is survived by the following brothers and sisters; S. C. McGhee, J. W. McGhee of Saltville, Va; H. W. McGhee, this city; Morgan McGhee, of Radford, Va; Bud McGhee, of Wilcoe, and Mrs. Ollle McGhee, of Bluefield. One brother, Ab McGhee preceded him in death. The body will be taken to the home of H. W. McGhee, 1322 Princeton avenue, to await funeral arrangements. on April 22, 1938.⁹ He Last rites for J. C. McGhee, 68-year-old, who passed away at his home 315 Bluefield avenue Thursday night, will be conducted at the Wayne Street Pentecostal Holiness church at 2:30 Saturday, by the former Pastor, Rev. Bane T. Underwood, assisted by Adjutant K. E. Moss of the local Salvation Army. Mr. McGhee, a native of Floyd county, Virginia, had lived in Bluefield for about 35 years. He had been in failing health for several years but his passing was a shock to his many friends. Mr. McGhee married March 9, 1892, to Miss Alice Richards also of Floyd county, who died December 16, 1936. To this union was born nine children, four having preceded him to the grave. Beside his five children he is survived by 5 brothers and one sister, H. W. McGhee of Bluefield, M. L. McGhee, Radford, Va., A. C. McGhee and J. W. McGhee, Saltville, Va., M. McGhee, Wilcoe, W. Va., Mrs. Ollie Burton, Bluefield. One brother, Ab McGhee preceded him to the grave. Active pallbearers: L. W. Perdue, E. F. Dillow, James Turpin, R. C. Caldwell, W. F. Grubb, Wiley Lovall. Friends of Mr. McGhee will act as flower bearers. on April 23, 1938.⁸

Graveside service at Sherwood Memorial Park, Salem, Virginia. Surviving are daughter, Barbara Gardner Jennings and her husband, Robert Jennings of Knightdale; grandchildren, Lisa Jennings Perry, Ned Perry, Jr., Randall Powell, Carrie Powell; great-grandchildren, Robby Braswell, Nora Powell, Shane Powell, Amanda Perry, Adell Perry. Mrs. Gardner was preceded in death by her husband, William James Cannon Gardner in 1957 and by a granddaughter, Lynette J. Powell in 1987; nephew, Michael Allen Conner of Salem, Virginia; niece, Patricia Conner Johnston of Yountville, California. on January 12, 1999.⁷
