Thomas of Littlesburg, Leonard H. of Bud, Pansy E. Frast of Kimball, Eula J. Skeens of Littlesburg and Thelma L. Thomas of Littlesburg; fourteen grandchildren; and the following brothers and sisters: Euna B. Noonen of Princeton, Shanna Mays of Covel, Okley H. Thomas of Hinton, Radric Thomas of Princeton, Frank Thomas of New Springfield, O., and Donald C. Thomas of Eckman. on January 10, 1951.7

She was preceded in death by her first husband, William C. Thornton, second husband, Walter Noonan, and one son, Randy Thornton. Survivors include one son, Archie T. Thornton of Daleville, Va; two daughters, Mrs. Edgar (Fleta) Talbott of Grundy, Va., and Mrs. Minnie Lou Snider of Salem, Va; 10 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the First Christian Church with Rev. Richard Flowers officiating. Burial be in the Thornton Cemetery at Oakvale. on October 18, 1982.4

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, William David Frost, Sr; her second husband, Alvis Otis Snow, Sr; three sisters, Helen and Jean Skeens, and Edith Phillips; and four brothers, Earnest, Hobart, Charles, and Leonord Thomas; two granddaughters, Carmella Wiley and Victoria Carty; and one grandson, Sherman Wiley. Survivors include her seven daughters, Pearl and Doug Brimm of GlenWood Park, Vickie and Roger Carroll of Hurricane Road, Diana and David Scott of Bluefield, Angela and Larry Carty of Tennessee, Alva Arnold of Bluewell, Barbara and Harry Campbell of Hamlet, N.C. and April and Tim Hunt of Princeton; six sons, David and Phyllis Frost of Route 20, Wesley Frost of Bluefield, James and Ersie Frost of Bluefield, Sammy and Claudia Frost of Welch, Alvis Snow of Monroe, N.C., Adam and Joanna Snow of Bluewell; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a sister, Thelma Skeens of Oakvale. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell with Harry Campbell, David Scott, Jerry Dinger, Douglas Frost, Douglas "Buck" Brimm, Jr., Ronnie Brimm serving as pallbearers. on April 8, 2009.2

Mr. Martin first came to the south Brevard area in 1953 from Favetteville, W. Va., where he had retired as chief of police. In 1954, he accepted the job as chief of police in Indialantic for four and a half years when he became ill. He was a member of the Protestant faith, a veteran of World War I, and a member of the Fayetteville American Legion Post 149. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Goldie Martin, Eau Gallie; one son, Bill Martin, Savannah, Ga; one grandson, James Martin, Savannah; and several nieces and nephews. Burial will be in Florida Memorial Gardens. on December 5, 1961.8
