Susan Rachel" Kefauver1,2,3,4

Susan Rachel" Kefauver was buried at Grayson Cemetery, Grayson, Clinton Co., Missouri.5,6 She was born on June 5, 1854 at Virginia; He obituary has a birth year of 1853.5,6,7 She married William Riley Poff, son of James Isaac Poff and Mary Ann "Polly" Gray, on December 16, 1869 at Floyd Co., Virginia.2,3,7 As of December 16, 1869,her married name was Poff. Susan Rachel" Kefauver died on February 19, 1909 at Clinton Co., Missouri, at age 54.6,7 She Susan R. Poff departed this life February 19, 1909. She was born June 4, 1853, and lived 56 years and 7 months, when she was called to her spirit home. We can truly say she was a noble Christian loved by all her neighbors and friends. She was ready and willing to go at God call, and we think she bad truly finished her life work and was ready for her departure. We think God will say, Well done good and faithful servant enter thou into the joy of the Lord. She was married to Riley Poff, December 16, 1869, in the state of Virginia and came to Missouri in 1871 and had lived here up to her death where she had gained a host of friends. To this union was born five children four living and one gone on before to meet his mother on the throne of God. She had been suffering for thirteen years with that dreadful disease, diabetis. We shall miss her loving step at eventide, and miss her gentle voice given in admonition of the danger which might befall our youthful hearts. But she has gone and we are sad, but God who knoweth best hath taken her to that better land of which she often spoke, and where we may meet her in God's own blessed time. We extend our heartfelt sympathy to the husband and children. A precious one from us has gone, A voice we love is still; A place is vacant in our home, Which never can be filled. on March 26, 1909.7
