     Arva Eunice Conner Arva Conner Coleman, 96 of Floyd, passed away peacefully at her home, Tuesday, June 27, 2017. She was preceded in death by her first husband and father of her children, George W. Conner and her son Edward L. Conner. She loved her children dearly and was a wonderful mother, wife, grandmother, and friend. Her love of cooking was shared with her family and friends. She is survived by her husband, Willie D. Coleman “Bill”; son & daughter–in-law, Charles & Beulah Conner; daughter, Mary Joyce Conner; daughter-in-law, Shirley B. Conner; grandchildren, Michael W. Conner, David Conner (Karen), Travis Faw (Gwen), Tracy Faw, Danah Conner Meadows (Gene); numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; also numerous nieces and nephews. Interment in the Jacksonville Cemetery.³ She was buried at Jacksonville Burial Ground, Rt. 8, 0.25 miles south of Floyd, Floyd Co., Virginia.³ She was born on January 23, 1921 at Floyd Co., Virginia.^1,4,2 She married George Willie Conner, son of Elbert Leland "Lee" Conner and Lula Inez Aldridge, on July 2, 1938 at Floyd Co., Virginia.^2,5,3 Arva Eunice Conner married Willie Dennis 'Bill" Coleman, son of Ulysses Stuart Coleman and Sarah Ellen Cannaday, on November 14, 1992 at Floyd Co., Virginia.^1,3 As of November 14, 1992,her married name was Coleman. Arva Eunice Conner died on June 27, 2017 at Floyd, Floyd Co., Virginia, at age 96.³

     Edward Lee "Ed" Conner was buried at Henry Memorial Park, 8443 Virginia Avenue, Oak Level, Henry Co., Virginia.¹ He was born on September 12, 1939 at Floyd Co., Virginia.^1,2 He married Eleanor Jean Peters, daughter of Frank Reeves Peters and Mamie Essie Epperly, on July 10, 1960 at Floyd Co., Virginia.⁷ Edward Lee "Ed" Conner and Eleanor Jean Peters were divorced on March 18, 1969 at Henry Co., Virginia.² Edward Lee "Ed" Conner married Bonita Arletta Alley on July 26, 1970 at Collinsville, Henry Co., Virginia.⁶ Edward Lee "Ed" Conner and Bonita Arletta Alley were divorced on March 24, 1982 at Henry Co., Virginia.² Edward Lee "Ed" Conner married Shirley Ann Bryant on June 8, 1982 at Henry Co., Virginia.⁶ Edward Lee "Ed" Conner died on September 22, 2016 at Virginia at age 77.¹ He Edward Lee (Ed) Conner, a local photographer, 77, of Fieldale, passed away Thursday, September 22, 2016. He was born in Floyd County on September 12, 1939 and was a graduate of Floyd County High School. He was a Sergeant in the United States Army serving in the 101st Airborne Division as a Paratrooper in Fort Campbell, Ky. Ed was an award winning photographer having owned, Ed Conner Photography for 35 years. He was a member of the Virginia Professional Photographers where he served two terms as Lt. Governor, a member of Wedding Photographers of America and other various associations. He retired from Dupont with 25 years of service and had been a beekeeper for many years. He was preceded in death by his father, George Willie Conner. Survivors include his loving wife, Shirley of the home; his precious mother, Arva Conner Coleman; and step-father, Bill; son, Mike Conner; two step-daughters, Kathy and Lisa; three grandchildren including a very dear grandson, Triton Martin who built a special bond with his Papa Ed; five great grandchildren; sister, Joyce Conner of Roanoke; brother, Charles Conner and wife, Beulah of Floyd; brother-in-law, Burch Bryant and wife, Sandy of Huntington Beach, Calif; and other family and friends. The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 3 p.m. Sunday, September 25, 2016 in the Bassett Funeral Service Chapel where the service will follow at 3 p.m. with the Rev. Bill Richardson and Minister Lawrence Harris officiating. A private entombment will be held at Henry Memorial Park. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the Gospel Road Baptist Church, 4305 Oak Level Road, Bassett, Va. 24055 or the Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care, 730 E. Church Street #13, Martinsville, Va. 24112. on September 25, 2016.¹

     William Henry Carr was buried at Head of the River Cemetery (also known as Salem Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery), Rt. 221, Check, Floyd Co., Virginia.⁸ He was born on March 14, 1856 at Floyd Co., Virginia; His death certificate has a birth year of 1855.^8,1,5 He married Mary Adeline Perdue on April 9, 1878 at Floyd Co., Virginia.¹ William Henry Carr died on December 21, 1926 at Roanoke, Virginia, at age 70.⁵

Conner, on April 9, 1878 at Floyd Co., Virginia.¹ As of April 9, 1878,her married name was Carr. Mary Adeline Perdue died on October 19, 1928 at Floyd Co., Virginia, at age 73.⁵

     Willie Dennis 'Bill" Coleman was buried at Jacksonville Burial Ground, Rt. 8, 0.25 miles south of Floyd, Floyd Co., Virginia.³ He was born on December 3, 1924 at Virginia.¹ He married Arva Eunice Conner on November 14, 1992 at Floyd Co., Virginia.^1,2 Willie Dennis 'Bill" Coleman died on December 17, 2018 at Virginia at age 94.³ He Willie Dennis (Bill) Coleman, 94 of Floyd, Va., passed away on Monday, December 17, 2018. Funeral Service will be held on at 1 p.m. Saturday, December 22, 2018 at the Maberry Funeral Home Chapel, Floyd with Elder Earl Dean Yates and Elder Travis Hunt officiating. Interment will follow in the Jacksonville Cemetery. on December 20, 2018.³
