Mrs. McGee lived most of her life in Pelham, NC. She retired in 1972 from Dan River Mills. She was the oldest member of Pelham United Methodist Church and a former member of Rebecca Lodge. She is survived by three daughters, Mary M. Herndon of Pine Mountain, GA, Alma M. Cross of Reidsville, NC and Betty M. Paige and husband Dewey of Danville and a son, John H. McGee, Sr. and wife Nancy of Danville. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents she was predeceased by six brothers, Herman, Raymond, Larry, Frank, Lonnie and Hugh Yeatts. A graveside service will be held Friday, October 15, 2010, at 11AM at Danville Memorial Gardens with Rev. Larry Durham officiating.
