Born in South Manchester, Ind., June 1, 1859, he lived his entire life in this county. He was married in Lydick in 1930 to Rhoda Frances Johnson, who survives. Surviving also are three sons, Ora Milliken, Warren township; Clarence G. Milliken, Mishawaka, and Albert A. Milliken, Orlando, Fla; a daughter, Mrs. Bessie Riner, Mishawaka, a sister, Mrs. Jane Whitesel, Lydick, and a brother, Oliver Milliken, South Bend. Friends will be received in the A.M. Russell chapel until the funeral there at 2 p.m. Wednesday. Rev. Norman Detroy, pastor of Lydick Evangelical church, will read the service and interment will be in Mt. Pleasant cemetery. in August, 1940.1 He died on August 12, 1940 at South Bend, St. Joseph Co., Indiana, at age 81.1

BARTS, who died Dec. 13, 1960. She was active in the Green Thumb, and was a volunteer in the RSVP. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. James (June) VRANA, Rochester, and Mrs. Tom [Alice) SROUFE, Rt. 2, Macy; a son, Joseph [BARTS], Rt. 1, Rochester; a daughter-in-law, Vada BARTS QUACKENBUSH, Rochester; five grandsons; a granddaughter, and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Keith [BARTS], in 1959; a grandson, a great-grandson, two sisters and three brothers. on April 3, 1984.5
