McGhee, 60 a resident of Bluefield for the past thirty-five years, died at 8:25 o'clock last night at, his home, 315 Bluefield avenue, victim of a paralytic stroke. Mr. McGhee, a retired employee of the city of Bluefield, had been a conspicious figure around the Salvation Army citadel for a number of years, having assisted the various members of the corps in different lines of work. Funeral arrangements will be announced later. Mr. McGhee is survived by four sons, Preston, Charles, Leonard McGhee, all of Bluefield, and the Rev. Albert H. McGee, of Winding Gulf, and two daughters, Mrs. Joe Shepherd, of Bluefield, and Miss Lena McGhee, also of this city. His wife died a few years ago. Mr. and Mrs. McGhee also is survived by the following brothers and sisters; S. C. McGhee, J. W. McGhee of Saltville, Va; H. W. McGhee, this city; Morgan McGhee, of Radford, Va; Bud McGhee, of Wilcoe, and Mrs. Ollle McGhee, of Bluefield. One brother, Ab McGhee preceded him in death. The body will be taken to the home of H. W. McGhee, 1322 Princeton avenue, to await funeral arrangements. on April 22, 1938.9 He Last rites for J. C. McGhee, 68-year-old, who passed away at his home 315 Bluefield avenue Thursday night, will be conducted at the Wayne Street Pentecostal Holiness church at 2:30 Saturday, by the former Pastor, Rev. Bane T. Underwood, assisted by Adjutant K. E. Moss of the local Salvation Army. Mr. McGhee, a native of Floyd county, Virginia, had lived in Bluefield for about 35 years. He had been in failing health for several years but his passing was a shock to his many friends. Mr. McGhee married March 9, 1892, to Miss Alice Richards also of Floyd county, who died December 16, 1936. To this union was born nine children, four having preceded him to the grave. Beside his five children he is survived by 5 brothers and one sister, H. W. McGhee of Bluefield, M. L. McGhee, Radford, Va., A. C. McGhee and J. W. McGhee, Saltville, Va., M. McGhee, Wilcoe, W.
