The family requests flowers be omitted and memorials made to the Calvary United Methodist Church, Christiansburg, Va. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. Sidney Willis and is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 67 years, Elizabeth Stevenson Collins; his daughters, Patricia Jean Collins and life partner, Judith Lawrence of The Villages, Fla., Mary Elizabeth Floyd and husband, Billy E. Floyd of Bristol, Tenn; his grandchildren, Jeremy Floyd, Billy E. (Chad) Floyd, Jr. and wife, Heather, Matthew Lillibridge and wife, Melissa, Lara Fetting and husband, Mark; his great-grandchildren, Ariana, Braedon and Lewis; his brother, Clyde E. Collins, of North Carolina; and several cousins including Allene Graham of Christiansburg. A memorial service celebrating his life will be held at First United Methodist Church, Salem Monday, April 23, 2007 at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Dr. D. Michael Houff, the Rev. Dr. Tom Joyce, the Rev. Dr, Frank Shaffer and the Rev. Dr. Basil Hensley officiating. She was a district officer of the UMW in Charleston, W.Va. Mrs. Collins was a Girl Scout Leader for 30 years in Virginia and West Virginia. She was the Youth Director in Covington Granby Memorial United Methodist Church and Charleston, W.Va. St. Marks United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Claude R. Collins and brother, the Rev. Linwood J. Stevenson. She is survived by her daughters, Patricia Jean Collins and life partner, Judith Lawrence, of Rochester, N.Y., and Mary Elizabeth Floyd and husband, Billy E. Floyd, of Bristol, Tenn; grandchildren, Jeremy Floyd, Billy E. Floyd Jr., Matthew Lillibridge and Lara Fetting; four greatgrandchildren; sister, Berkeley S. Surviving family members include one brother and sister-in-law, Earl and Thelma Epperly; one daughter-in-law, Doris Richardson Epperly; one daughter and son-in-law, Eva Jo and Ernie Dove; two sons, George W. Epperly, Jr. and Daniel Neil Epperly; five loving grandchildren, Doris Jennene Matheney, Shanna and David Simmons, Wesley and Chrissy Dove, Missy and Greg Pfaff, and Harmony Ruth Epperly; seven cherished great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and numerous extended family and friends. He was a life-long faithful member and trustee of Oak Grove Church, and he greatly loved worshiping there and enjoyed being in the presence of his fellow brothers and sisters in Christ. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Saturday, July 16, 2005, at Horne Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Dennis Hutchison and the Rev. Pete Flinchum officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be on Friday, July 15, 2005, from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday, July 16, 2005 from 1 to 2 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home. He was also preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Frankie Sowers. Jack is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 38 years, Nancy Trump; daughter, Antoinette St. Clair (Terry); grandson, Canaan St. Clair; sister, Joyce Sowers; nephew, Greg Sowers (Sharon); great-nieces, Ashley Gusler (Cody), Amber Sowers (Devin); a host of cousins and many friends, including Stacy Keith, who was like a son. Jack spent many years at Angles Grocery where he touched so many lives. He has been at the Dodge Dealership in Floyd since 1993, and a lifelong farmer. Jack was a member and Deacon of Oak Grove Church and an honorary member of Christiansburg Rescue Squad. Visitation will be Thursday, November 11, 2021, from 5 until 7 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home. Dennis is survived by his wife of 56 years, Susan Coe Epperly; his son, Steven Dennis Epperly (Cindi); his brother, Michael Epperly (Peggy); two nephews, John and Chris Epperly. on July 18, 2023.4
