He was born in Tye River, Nelson County, January 6, 1878, and was the son of the late Richard Benjamin and Ophelia Berkley Taylor. He was a yard conductor for the Chesapeake & Ohio Railway, for which he had worked 47 years, and was a member of the Brotherhood of Railroad Conductors. He belonged to St. James Methodist Church, Riverville. Mr. Taylor is survived by his wife, Mrs. Nettie Blanche Taylor, and the following children; Claude Anderson Taylor, Joseph Edwin Taylor, William Berkley Taylor and Miss Dimple Taylor of Allen's Creek, Mrs. W.
