Poff, Willis; five daughters, Mrs. Rosa Alderman, Radford; Mrs. Stella Sowers, Willis; Mrs. Arlie Phillips, Roanoke; Mrs. Laura Hill, Akron, Ohio; Mrs. Snowa Clark, Charlton Heights, W. Va. The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Mayberry Funeral Home in Floyd. Burial will be at Keith Cemetery in Willis. The body is at Mayberry Funeral Home in Floyd. on September 29, 1961.3 She died on September 29, 1961 at Radford, Virginia, at age 82.5,3,4

Post #776 will conduct military graveside rites. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Wednesday at Mullins Funeral Home in Radford. on February 6, 2002.1

He trained as a postal clerk in Hampton Roads and served on the U.S.S. Nevada until December 29, 1920 when he was dishonorably discharged from the Navy because he was too young when he joined. He sent a few letters to his mom and sisters while in the service. He never returned home or made contact with his parents or siblings after his departure from the Navy. Found on board the Nevada in the 1920 census, he indicated that he was born and from Atlantic City, NJ.2 He was born on March 3, 1901 at Copper Hill, Floyd Co., Virginia.1,2,3
