Wendell Dale Graham Wendell Dale Graham, age 76, went to be with the Lord on August 13, 2024. He passed with his wife and daughter by his side. He was a kind and caring husband and father who loved his family. He always put his family first. He retired from Montgomery County Schools after 34 years of service. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Martha Graham; brothers, Paul and Homer Graham; his sister, Barbara Cox; and brother-in-law, Jerry Cox. Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Marsella; his daughter, Faye Lyons and husband Dustin; and his precious granddaughter, Kimberly, who referred to her grandfather as "Poppy." He is also survived by his brother, Neal Graham and wife Kathy; sisters, Bonnie Hawks and Beatrice Belcher and husband Guy; sisters-in-law, Alice Cox, who was a special caregiver and friend, Carol Sawyers and husband Jerry; brother-in-law, "his buddy" Aubrey Kozar and wife Sandy; sister-in-law, Shirley Graham; and special friend, Dianne Brown. Our family would like to give a special thank you to Gentiva Hospice staff, Sharon Shewey, Laura Mustard, Tim Reno, and Chaplain Jim Tunnell for the excellent care and compassion they showed Mr. Graham and his family. Private interment will follow in Beaver Creek Cemetery, Floyd.1 He was buried at Beaver Creek Church of the Brethren Cemetery, 409 Ridgeview Road NW, off Rt. 8 N, Floyd Co., Virginia.1 He was born on January 6, 1949 at Floyd Co., Virginia.2 He married Marcella Hedy Kozar circa 1966.1 Wendell Dale Graham died on August 13, 2024 at Virginia at age 75.1

Also by two sisters, Shirley Linkous and Mary Duncan; three brothers, Billy Hawks, Fred Hawks, and Bobby Hawks, all of Christiansburg. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, September 24, 2002, at 7 p.m. at the New River Holiness Church on Peppers Ferry Road, Christiansburg. The family is being served by Horne Funeral & Cremation Service. on September 24, 2002.2

Also surviving are thirteen grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. Services will be at Oakey's South Chapel 10 a.m. Monday, March 19, 2001. The Rev. Jeff Wilson and the Rev. David Tanner will officiate. Interment will follow in Congregational Holiness Cemetery in Shawsville. The family will receive friends at Oakey's South Chapel from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday. on March 18, 2001.3

She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Josephine Neece, Elliston; Mrs. Anita Cooper, Salem; Mrs. Glenna Fitzgerald, Roanoke; three sons, Ronnie M. Atkinson, Elliston; Elwood Atkinson and Charles L. Atkinson, Christiansburg; two sisters, Mrs. Naomi Akers and Mrs. Grace Amos, both of Elliston; two brothers, Dayton Vest, Shawsville; Edgar Vest, Dublin; 14 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; several stepgrandchildren. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the Grant E. Bryant Funeral Home with the Rev. Eddie Booth officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Interment in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by Grant E. Bryant Funeral Home, Elliston. on February 28, 1992.7

Betty Jane Hedrick died on January 24, 2017 at Salem, Roanoke Co., Virginia, at age 84.1 She Betty Jane Hedrick Wimmer, 84, of Salem, Va., died on Tuesday, January 24, 2017, after a brave battle with cancer. She passed away at her home with family and friends present. Betty is survived by her son, Gary Wimmer and his wife, Kim, and grandson, Carson; and her son, Kevin and his wife, Robin; four sisters; two brothers; and numerous family members and close friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Wimmer; her daughter, Jill Wimmer; and several beloved family members. We would like to offer our heartfelt gratitude to Gentle Shepherd Hospice for caring for Mom during her battle. A special thanks to her friend, Sharon, for her constant dedication throughout... we are eternally grateful. Thanks also to Kevin and Robin for their love and support. Betty was known to all as an admirable, humble woman who always had a beautiful smile and a giving and loving nature. She was exceptional in her devotion and love for friends and family. The light of her life was her attachment, affection, and shared experiences with her grandson, Carson. They had an emotional bond filled with happiness and joy in every moment they shared together. Betty's beliefs in Jesus Christ and his teachings were steadfast and the way she lived her life set an example for others. While Betty was treasured on earth, she is now one of God's truly special angels in Heaven. We will miss her but will cherish our sweet memories and forever keep her alive in our hearts. Rest in glorious peace our dearly beloved Betty. Visitation hours will be from 2 until 4 p.m. on Saturday, January 28, 2017, at Oakey's North Chapel on Peters Creek Road. A Service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, January 29, 2017, at Oakey's North Chapel with Pastor Hilton Jeffreys officiating. Interment will follow in the McKee Family Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bethel Baptist Church or to Gentle Shepherd Hospice. on January 27, 2017.1
