Survivors include the husband, John, six sons, Charles, Marshall, and John, all of West Manchester, Frank of Columbus, Delmus of R.R.1, Eaton and Robert of Greenville; one daughter, Mrs. Mary Condon of R.R.1, West Manchester; four brothers, Erb Hale of Roanoke, Va., Hampton and Frank Hale, both of Airport, Va., and Charles Hale of Bent Mountain, Va., and 13 grandchildren, and six grest-grandchildren. Services for Mrs. Johnson were held Monday at Michael Funeral Chapel with Rev. Eugene Lanker, pastor of the Castine Church of the Brethren, officiating. Ethel Pearl Poff was buried at Number 6 Cemetery, Frazier, Buchanan Co., Missouri.^4,3 She was born on October 11, 1899 at Roanoke Co., Virginia; Her gravestone has a birth year of 1900, but the 1900 Census proves a birth year of 1899.^2,4 As of December 12, 1917,her married name was Cobb.⁴ She married James Emmettt Cobb on December 12, 1917 at Buchanan Co., Missouri.^3,4 Ethel Pearl Poff died on March 19, 1919 at Edgerton, Platte Co., Missouri, at age 19.³ She The death of Mrs. James Cobb occurred at her home in this city, Wednesday morning at 3 o'clock after a short illness. She had a hard case of influenza during the winter, and had never been well since that time. She is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Poff and was only nineteen years of age at the time of her death. Burial was at #6 cemetery in Buchanan Co. on March 21, 1919.³
