She is survived by a son, Douglas and Ruth Thomas, of Chilhowie; a daughter, Carole and Robert Spencer, of Blacksburg; two granddaughters, Kristina and Joseph Mueller, of Midlothian, Va., and Diana Thomas, of Ruther Glen, Va; several nieces and nephews; one sister, Augustine Walton, of Silver Springs, Md; one sister-in-law, Hilda Poff, of Copper Hill; and close friends, Isaac Holden, Gail Hoback, and Geoff Goodale. Graveside funeral service will be held 2 p.m. on Thursday, November 20, 2008, at the Radford Cemetery with the Rev. J.C. Holden officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Floyd Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 257, Floyd, Va. 24091 or to the Radford Cemetery, c/o Robert L. Allen, 4261 Franklin Pike, Floyd, Va. 24091. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. Arrangements by Wood Funeral Home in Floyd, Va. on November 20, 2008.2
