She was also preceded in death by her husband, Donald Ray Webb; her daughter, Donna Jane Webb; sisters, Ruby B. Hunt, Irene Hunt Tudor, Ethel Hunt Love, and Margaret Hunt Love; brothers, James Davis Hunt, Morris William Hunt, and Walter Akers Hunt. She is survived by her sisters, Paige Hunt Robertson and Lucille Hunt Willis; sisters-in-law, Avis Cline Hunt, Cova Nichols Hunt, and Patricia Webb Flora; brother-in-law, Ronald Edward Webb (Debra). Born in Caldwell, he was a son of the late James R. and Flora Sowder Webb. His wife, Mrs. Marandy Sloane Webb, preceded him in death in September of 1973. Survivors include one sister, Mrs. Catherine Woods of Roanoke; and two brothers, Lewis M. Webb of Rupert and Miriam Webb of Roanoke. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. at Burns Wornal Chapel of Memorial Funeral Directory in Princeton with Rev. Paul Hall officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens on Bluefield-Princeton Road. Friends may call at the funeral home today from 6 to 9 p.m. on September 26, 1975.2

Survivors include 4 daughters: Verbena (WC) Walkup, Teresa Lilly, Annette (Brent) Woods and Pamela (David) Myles; 1 son: Bobby (Debra) "Bo" Ailstock; 10 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild; extended family and friends. He was a twin born in Ferrum, VA on May 22, 1924, the son of the late Jesse Webb and Mae Hale Webb. In August 1948, he married Thelma Chandler Webb who predeceased him and he later married Shirley Gammon Webb who also predeceased him. Mr. Webb lived most of his life in the Providence, NC area. He worked for Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company for 30 years retiring at age 75. He is survived by a son, Randy Webb and wife Stephanie Hobins Webb of Columbia, SC; a brother, Donnie Webb and wife Lynn of Aynor, SC; two sisters, Bevoline Jones and husband Brady of Ridgeway, VA and Elaine Horne and her husband Grady all of Chadborne, NC. He is also survived by three dearly loved grandchildren, Nicholas Webb and Chandler Webb of Columbia, SC and a step-granddaughter, Tara Lewis of Blairs, VA; a sister-in-law, Gertrude Webb of Danville; Alice Webb of Fayetteville, NC and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife and parents, he was predeceased by two brothers, Coy Webb and Junus Webb. A graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m., Thursday, April 15, 2010, at Bethel Methodist Church Cemetery on Parks Springs Road, Providence, NC with Rev. David Grissom. The family will receive friends at Swicegood Funeral Home, Wednesday evening, from 7:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and at other times will be at the residence, 1272 Park Springs Road, Providence, NC. Swicegood Funeral Home is respectfully serving the Webb family. on April 14, 2010.3

Born February 27, 1926, he was the son of the late Jesse Webb and Mae Hale Webb. In April of 1943 he married Valetta Harvell Webb who predeceased him. Mr. Webb lived most of his life in Danville and was a World War II veteran of the US Army. He worked 52 years for Dan River Mills and he was of the Baptist faith. He is survived by two daughters, Shirley Rhodes and Nancy Harmon and her husband Wade all of Danville; two brothers, Roy Webb of Providence, NC and Donnie Webb and his wife Lynn of Aynor, SC; two sisters, Bevoline Jones and her husband Grady of Bassett, VA and Elaine Horne and her husband Grady of Chadborne, NC; four grandchildren, Toby Harmon, Rhonda Jones and husband Glenn, Claudia Chapman and Joy Tolley and four great-grandchildren survive. He is also survived by a daughter-in-law, Jean Webb of Danville; a sister-in-law, Gertrude Webb of Providence, NC and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife and parents, he was predeceased by a son, Robert Webb and a brother, Coy Webb. A graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m., today, April 8, 2010, at Danville Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Charles Wickham officiating. The family received friends Wednesday evening, 6:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Swicegood Funeral Home and at other times the family will be at the residence of his daughter, Nancy Harmon, 54 Ashlawn Drive. Memorial contributions may be made to Danville Life Saving Crew , 202 Christopher Lane, Danville, VA 24541, God's Storehouse, 778 Westover Dr., Danville, VA 24541 or charity of your choice.
