She was a member of the Kilsythe Apostolic Pentecostal Church. Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Charles "Pete" Luther Cook; a son, Charles "Chuck" Cook; her father, William Roy Sweeney, Sr; her mother, Juanita Kincaid Sweeney; a brother, William "J.R." Roy Sweeney; a sister, Connie Jean Sweeney; maternal grandparents, John and Effie Kincaid; paternal grandparents, George and Myrtle Sweeney; two nephews; and a niece.
