Howard Allen Rich was buried at Woolrich Cemetery, Pine Creek Township, Clinton Co., Pennsylvania.3,4,5 He was born on March 29, 1919 at Woolrich, Clinton Co., Pennsylvania.5 He died on July 5, 1936 at Woolrich, Clinton Co., Pennsylvania, at age 17.3,5 He Woolrich - Melancholy in recent weeks because of ill health, Howard Allen Rich, 17, son of Mr. and Mrs. John B. Rich, was found dead in his home here yesterday afternoon. A bullet from a police positive revolver, which was found on the floor at his side, had pierced his head. Coroner W. J. Shoemaker said on the death certificate that "death was caused while handling a police positive revolver." Robert B. Rich, the eldest brother, and his wife were the only persons in the house at the time, thought to have been around 3:30 o'clock, when the tragedy occurred. They were playing the radio but heard no shot fired. Later, a younger brother, Michael B., entered the house, and after going upstairs, returned to inform his brother that something had happened to Howard. Howard's parents and his grandmother, Mrs. Josephine Tyson, were in Lock Haven in the early afternoon. The brothers summoned A. J. Englert, neighbor, and an emergency call was sent to Dr. T. E. Teah, who found that life was extinct and notified Coroner Shoemaker. The fatal shooting took place in a small room on the second floor which contained hunting trophies and gun cases. Howard Rich, in June, had completed his Junior year at the Lock Haven High School. In addition to his parents and the brothers mentioned, he is survived by two other brothers, John , Jr. and James. Funeral services will be at the home Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock, the Rev. H. T. Covert, officiating. Burial will be made at the Woolrich Cemetery. on July 6, 1936.3

Dr. Luther Melanchthan Holloway was buried at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Mackeyville, Clinton Co., Pennsylvania.4 He was born on December 5, 1844 at Aaronsburg, Centre Co., Pennsylvania.1 He married Anna Mary Chatham, daughter of John H. Chatham and Priscilla Jane Welsh, on December 6, 1872 at Clinton Co., Pennsylvania.1,3,5,6 Dr. Luther Melanchthan Holloway died on August 7, 1933 at Salona, Clinton Co., Pennsylvania, at age 88.3 He Dr. Luther M. Holloway, veteran physician of Clinton County, was found dead in bed at his home in Salona this morning about 1 o'clock, following a slight indisposition which had caused him to return to bed after arising. Dr W. J. Shoemaker, county coroner, was called and decided that death was due to angina pectoris and that an inquest was unnecessary. Dr. Holloway, who would have been 89 years old in December, had been in excellent health, considering his advanced age and his death came as a great shock to the community, where he had practiced medicine for more than half a century. He had become ill Saturday, complaining of indigestion, but was able to be up yesterday. He also got up at the usual time this morning. but felt ill during the forenoon. He was born at Rebersburg and served in the Union Army during the Civil War. After the war he was graduated from the medical college of the university of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia. He was united in marriage to Miss Anna Mary Chatham, of Lock Haven. Dr. and Mrs. Holloway celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary some years ago. Only recently, Dr. Holloway was one of the local physicians honored at a meeting of the Councilor District of the State Medical Society at Williamsport when recognition was given those who had practiced medicine 50 years or more. During his long service as a physician, he resided at Salona, Howard, and for less than a year in this city. He also resided for a time in Ohio. He was a member of the Salona Methodist Church and the Salona Camp of the P. O. S. of A. Survivors include his wife, a grandson and two granddaughters, Richard and Miss Anna Garth, of Williamsport; and Miss Miriam Garth, of Boston, and two brothers, Thomas and Charles, of Akron. on August 7, 1933.3
