They married in 1951 and settled in Christiansburg Va. From 1953-1955, Herman served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Korea for 17 months.Throughout his life, Herman loved anything with wheels. He even made a career with that love, driving for Trailways and Mason Dixon. He also loved wagons, bicycles, motorcycles, go-carts, cars, trucks, tractors and even airplanes. His five grandchildren have all used him as their "mechanic of choice" and his five great-grandchildren, who call him P. Pops, have also acquired his love for things with wheels. Visitation at Bennett Funeral Home on 8014 Lee-Davis Rd., Mechanicsville Va., Friday evening from 6 to 8. Graveside services will be held Saturday, 11 a.m., Rest Vale Cemetery, Cooper Hill, Va. on May 2, 2014.6
