She volunteered at Mission in Action and Historic Burwell School. Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Marcia and Robert Babb; her sister and brother-in-law, Helen Sue and R. B. Smith; and three grandchildren, Keaton, Jackson, and Leila Babb; and two nieces, LuAnn Zimmerman and Serena Wimmer. Burial will be at Head of River Church Cemetery, Copper Hill, Va. on March 8, 2009.⁸

She is survived by a son, Dare Randall Roberson and his wife, Glo Stidham Roberson, of Huntsville; a daughter, Beth Ann Barber and her husband, Jerry Barber, of Lake Worth, Fla; four granddaughters, Brooks Roberson Sasso and husband Allen and Megan Roberson Berstell and husband Jayme, all of Huntsville, Katy Barber and Chelsey Barber, both of Lake Worth; two great-granddaughters, Nellie Grace Sasso and Audrey Noelle Sasso, both of Huntsville; and a sister, Nancy Kay Wheeler Leach of Louisville. The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 13, 2014, at Miller Funeral Home in Ashland by the Rev. Mike Rice. Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park in Ashland. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Allen Sasso, Jayme Berstell, Chris Grigsby, Simo Kukurik, Norman Rist and the Honorable Judge George W. Davis III.
