She was preceded by her husband, Wayne J. Conner; parents, Fred and Effie Akers of Narrows; twin brother, John Frederick Akers and brothers, Jerry and Thomas Akers. Betty was a longtime member of Enon Baptist Church. Surviving are her daughter, Linda Kolnok and husband Michael; son, Gary Conner and wife Kitura; grandchildren, Tonya Conner Pickeral and husband Greg, Mike Kolnok and wife Beth, Buck Conner and wife Virginia, Matthew Kolnok; great-grandchildren, Chance Conner, Vivian Pickeral, Eric Julian, Grant Pickeral and Allie Kolnok; sister-in-law, Roberta Conner Rogers. The family would like to thank Medi Home Health and Hospice of Roanoke, and Carrington Cottage Memory Care Center in Daleville for the wonderful care they gave mom in the last months of her wonderful life. Interment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. on August 31, 2017.2
