     Donald Lee "Don" Hall was born on January 22, 1932 at Roanoke, Virginia.3 He married Barbara Ethel Blankenship on January 14, 1954 at Winston-Salem, Forsyth Co., North Carolina.2,3 Donald Lee "Don" Hall died on August 4, 2021 at age 89.3 He Donald "Don" Lee Hall, passed away peacefully in his sleep on August 4, 2021, with his wife at his side. Don was born on January 22, 1932, in Roanoke, Virginia, to Jessie James and Beatrice "Bea" Martin Hall. Don met the love of his life, Barbara "Bobby" Blankenship and married on January 14, 1954, in Roanoke Virginia, where they lived their entire lives. Don was an avid fan of his family's activities, especially when following his son's sports teams and his daughter's singing career. Don loved the beach and sun! He planned yearly trips to Myrtle Beach with his wife and children. He loved the beach trips so much; he was often known to have made numerous trips per year with his children and grandchildren. Don served in the United States Coast Guard from 1949 until 1953 during the Korean War conflict. He was first employed by American Bridge-US Steel working as a draftsman. After a two year stint there, he was hired by the United States Post Office as a letter carrier. Don remained with the Post Office for 31 years before retiring in 1989. After his retirement from the Post Office, he was hired part-time by Carillion Hospital as the parking garage superintendent until his final retirement in 2011. He always loved people and enjoyed interacting with his customers on his post office route and with the doctors, nurses and hospital staff at Carillion Hospital. He always joked with friends that he worked in the medical profession. Don was preceded in death by his parents, Jessie and Bea Hall; his brother, William "Bill" Hall and sister Katherine (Kitty) Hall Wiseman. He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Barbara Blankenship Hall; his son, Rick Hall and wife, Melinda; and his daughter, Donna Hall Steffek and husband, Gaylon. His four grandchildren include Jesse Hall and wife, Meghan, Trent Hall, Reid Blosser and wife, Rachael, and Gavin Blosser and fiancée, Christina. Funeral services are entrusted to Hillier Funeral Home in College Station. Visitation will be held on Friday, August 13, 2021, at Hillier Funeral Home from 5 until 7 p.m. with a Rosary to follow. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 14, 2021, 10 a.m. at St. Josephs Catholic Church in Bryan, Texas, with Msgr. John McCaffrey officiating. Interment will immediately follow. A Celebration of Life for Don will be held in Roanoke, Va., at a later date.0112 on August 13, 2021.3
