     Alice Frances Pittman was buried at Downing's Cemetery, Lecato, Accomack Co., Virginia.⁴ She Alice Frances Hudson, 84, wife of the late Ira C. Hudson, (Glorybound), of Chincoteague Island, VA, passed away on October 6, 2014 at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury, MD. She was born in Crab Orchard, WV on October 24, 1929 to the late Timothy and Polly Pittman. She worked along with her husband as the custodian of Chincoteague Elementary School for 16 years. She was a member of Union Baptist Church in Chincoteague Island, VA and Accomack Chapter # 62 Order of Eastern Star. She was a loving mother, grandmother, aunt, neighbor and friend. She enjoyed making the beaded bracelets for her church that was passed out at Pony Penning, along with a tract. She loved sitting on her front porch, with her two birds and little white cat, named Glorybound, reading, watching the cars and people pass by, listening to Southern Gospel music. Frances is survived by two daughters, Ruth Shrieves, (husband, Wade),of Bloxom, VA, Louella Sue Davis, (husband, Rick), of Chincoteague Island, VA; two sons, Ira Thomas Hudson, (fiance, Debbie), Randy Wayne Hudson, (wife, Phyllis) of Staunton, VA; six grandchildren, Weston Shrieves, (wife, Ashley), Lanae Shrieves, (fiance, Bryan Schuster), Rachel Tate, (husband, Mike) of Chicago IL, Rebecca Birch, (husband, Roger), Sarah Grey, James Grey, and six great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Daniel Joel Hudson, and a sister, Naomi Ruth Pittman of Crab Orchard, WV.
