Arnold Edward Housh was buried at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Massieville, Ross Co., Ohio.7 He was born on September 1, 1929 at Coalburg, Kanawha Co., West Virginia.5,8 He married Mary E. Toler on April 10, 1951 at Cabin Creek, Kanawha Co., West Virginia.2,5 Arnold Edward Housh died on March 4, 2017 at Circleville, Pickaway Co., Ohio, at age 87.5,8 He Arnold Edward Housh, aged 87 years, of Circleville, died peacefully at the Adena Medical Center on March 4, holding his wife's hand and surrounded by his three children and grandson. Eddie (as he was known by those close to him) was born to Enos and Gertrude Housh on September 1, 1929, in Coalburg, West Virginia. He was the youngest of three brothers. Eddie was orphaned at the age of 13 and was entrusted to the care of his paternal grandfather. At the age 17, he enlisted in the U.S. Army. Staff Sgt. Housh served on the battlefields of the Korean War receiving an honorable discharge in 1952. He returned to West Virginia to his young bride to begin a career with Owens-Illinois that would continue for 40 years and would bring his family to Circleville in 1965. Eddie was at one time an avid vegetable gardener, keeping very large gardens at several locations in the Circleville area. He could often be found working in the kitchen, especially on holidays. He enjoyed watching OSU football, the Cincinnati Reds, and an occasional card game with the family. Eddie was particularly fond of the two pugs they shared a home with over the years. In 2006, he did the unthinkable, defeating advanced lung cancer and remained cancer-free for a decade. Eddie was a man of few words, but the door to his home was always open to his family and their friends, and he never missed the special moments in his children's and grandchildren's lives. Through all his trials in recent years, up to his last days, his children and grandchildren were at his side. Arnold was predeceased by his parents, brothers: Robert and Benjamin Housh, and nephew Robby Jo Housh. Arnold is survived by his wife of 65 years, Mary (Belle) Toler, children: Mary (Norm) Stacy, Barbara (Rick) Matthews, and Tim (Brenda) Housh, six grandchildren: William (Kelly) Trego, Angie (Eric) Stevenson, Jim (Angela) Trego, Mitch (Meg) Stacy, Chelsey (Alex Wheeler) Housh, and TJ Housh, six great-grandchildren: Keegan, Aaron, Kaydence, Josie, Jack, and Ava.
