He is survived by five sons, Clarence Switzer of Roanoke, Gary Switzer of Vinton, Richard Switzer of Troutville, Jerry Switzer of Ferrum and Kevin Switzer of Troutville; three daughters, Betty Hale of New Castle, Rebecca Switzer of Fincastle, Martha Mills of Savannah, Ga; 24 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Friends and relatives will be received at Hebron United Methodist Church, New Castle, on Sunday, June 29, 2003 at 2 p.m. Memorial services will follow at 3 p.m. on June 27, 2003.¹

The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. on April 19, 1994.¹
