He was 44. A resident of 370 Tanglewood Drive, Martinsville, Ingram retired in December, 1996 after becoming ill. He worked as a police officer for 12 years and four as an animal control officer. He also did part time legal assistance with the Daniel-Vaughan-Medley and Smitherman law firm. Born Nov. 15, 1952, in Martinsville, Ingram was the son of Mattie Hollandsworth Robertson of Bassett, and the late Guy Ingram. He was preceded in death by a stepfather, Roy Maynard Hanes. Ingram was a charter member of the Fieldale-Collinsville Rescue Squad. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Collinsville and attended Oak Level Baptist Church. Surviving, in addition to his mother, are wife, Lee Anne Miles Ingram of the home; stepfather George L. Robertson, of Bassett, grandfather, Alfred G. Hollandsworth of Fork Mountain, Stepsisters, Mary Frances DeHart of Henry, Peggy Morris and Joann Brown, both of Fork Mountain; and stepbrother, Maynard Haynes of Manassas. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Norris Funeral Service Chapel. The Rev. Lee Keever will officiate. Burial will be in Roselawn Burial Park. on September 9, 1997.⁴
