Survivors include two daughters, Loria Magarowicz of Spanishburg and Katrina Pendleton and her husband David of Lake Shawnee; two sons, Dennis Conner of Salisbury, N.C. and Rickey Conner of Princeton; two brothers, Bernard Brown of Rock and Bobby Brown of Wisconsin; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton. on April 19, 2008.3

Mr. Conner loved to spend time with his family. Roy enjoyed sitting on his porch and swinging, was an avid horse shoe player and attended the Rich Creek Baptist Church at Spanishburg. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Delphia "Dickie" Wood Conner; along with sisters, Hazel Davis, Mayda Williams, Ocie Conner; along with two brothers, Garwood Conner and Jack Conner. Left to cherish his memory, his devoted son and wife, Freddie L. and Betty Conner of Spanishburg; and long with two grandchildren that he loved so dearly, Melinda Conner of Princeton and Leroy Conner and wife, Donna of Sissonville; and two great-grandsons, Austin Conner of Sissonville and Takota Bailey of Princeton. Additional survivors include his sister, Jean Belcher and husband, Calvin of Herndon; brothers, Donald Conner and wife, Mildred of Princeton, Randolph Conner and wife, Faye of Bainbridge, Ohio; and a sister-in-law, Maxine Conner. Burial will follow in the Ball Family Cemetery near Athens. on July 19, 2004.3
