     John Cline Wimmer Sr. was buried at Copper Hill Church of the Brethren Cemetery, 8838 Floyd Hwy N. US Hwy 221, Copper Hill, Floyd Co., Virginia.⁵ He married Audrey Holt.⁵ John Cline Wimmer Sr. was born on April 15, 1923 at Floyd Co., Virginia.¹ He married Marie Elizabeth Holt, daughter of Dewey Alger Holt and Etta Elizabeth "Betsy" Mullins, on March 9, 1946 at Callaway, Franklin Co., Virginia.^1,2,3,4,5,10 John Cline Wimmer Sr. died on October 2, 2008 at Virginia at age 85.⁵ He John Cline Wimmer Sr., of Roanoke, and formerly of Copper Hill, Va., finished his earthly journey and went home to be with his Lord on Thursday evening, October 2, 2008. Cline was born to Banks and Maye Poff Wimmer in 1923, who preceded him in death. Also preceding him were his wife of 53 years, Mary Holt Wimmer; an infant daughter, Sharon Kay Wimmer; and his second wife, Audrey Holt Meador Wimmer. He is survived by one son and three daughters, Betty and Glenn Gallimore, of Rocky Mount, Va., Sarah and Larry King, of Cloverdale, Va., J.C. and Peg Wimmer, of Check, Va., and Karen and Gerald Moran, of Copper Hill, Va. She attended Check High School and was a member of Copper Hill Church of the Brethren, where she sang in the choir, played the organ and taught Sunday school. She was a member of Green Hill Church of the Brethren where she was in the Mamie Kinzie Circle, and more recently attended Salem Baptist Church. Kathleen retired from General Electric after 30 years. She worked in eldercare and childcare as a young adult and in eldercare for many years after retirement. She was preceded in death by a brother, John Cline Wimmer and his wife, Mary; a sister-in-law, Geraldine Wimmer; a brother-in-law, Alfred Brown; and a niece, Sharon Kay Wimmer. Surviving are her children, D. Elaine Quinn (Jim) of Long Boat Key, Fla., Kathy P. Cowan (Gary) of Wirtz, Va., Carl P. Pollard Jr. (Rene) of Salem, Va., and Kevin L.
