Ronald Paul Elmore Ronald P. Elmore, age 77, of Jolynne Drive, Buckhannon, died Tuesday, August 28, 2018, at the United Hospital Center in Bridgeport. He was born on April 14, 1941, in Spencer, WV, a son of the late Clarence D. and Norma V. Rogers Elmore. On May 25, 1962, he was united in marriage to Barbara L. Fouty Elmore, who survives. Also surviving are one sister Suetta Brockleman of Bridgeport; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; and his beloved cat, “Tabby, No!” Ron was a retired 20-year veteran of the United States Air Force. Upon returning to West Virginia, he was employed by Bill Kelley Motors as a Parts Manager, and later Napa Auto Parts in Buckhannon. He was a devout Catholic, and parishioner of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Buckhannon. Ron was a 4th degree Knight of Columbus and Past Grand Knight of the Elkins Council #603 and Past Faithful Navigator of Our Lady of the Mountains Assembly #3159. He loved to hunt, fish, and visit with all those he knew and met. The family will receive friends at the Heavner and Cutright Funeral Chapel on Thursday, August 30, 2018, from 5-8:00 PM, with a prayer service beginning at 7:30 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, August 31, 2018, at 11:00 AM, at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church with the Rev. Fr. James McCafferty, S.M. and Rev. Fr. Joseph McLaughlin, S.M. as concelebrants. Suetta Virginia Elmore Suetta Virginia Brockleman, 77, of Bridgeport and previously of Weston, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, February 15, 2021. She passed under the compassionate care of Crestview Manor Nursing Home in Jane Lew. She was born in Weston on April 10, 1943, a daughter of the late Clarence and Norma Jean Rodgers Elmore. In addition to her parents, Suetta was preceded in death by one brother, Ronald Elmore; and her K-9 companion, Jasmine. Forever cherishing their memories of Suetta’s fun-loving nature are two children: Christina “Chrissy” Turner and companion, Greg Isenhart, of Weston, and James “Jim” Brockleman and wife, Nikki, of Bridgeport; four grandchildren: Brittany Dever and companion, John McKibben II, Joshua Bailey and wife, Brandy, and Alexis Brockleman, and fiancé, Ryan Smarr, all of Weston, and Broddrick “Brody” Brockleman of Bridgeport; and five great-grandchildren: Paisley and Cooper Dever, Bricen Bailey, Madeline Clark, and Maverick Smarr. Suetta graduated from Lewis County High School and was Catholic by faith. She worked for over 35 years at the Weston State Hospital reading EKG’s. Suetta had the biggest heart and her laugh was contagious. Family was always Suetta’s number one priority. She was a skilled knitter and frequently made blankets for her grandchildren. Suetta treasured any time she spent with her grandchildren and was proud of every one of them. She will forever be remembered as the “Best Nana Sue” and will be missed dearly. Family and friends will gather for Graveside Services at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens located at 2397 US Hwy 19N in Jane Lew at 12 p.m. on Friday, February 19, 2021 with Father Casey Mahone officiating. Interment will follow.5 She was buried at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, 2397 U.S. Highway 19N, Jane Lew, Lewis Co., West Virginia.5 Her married name was Riffle.1 She married Donzol N. Meinhardt Franz August Raabe was born in the town of Farmington on Sept. 2, 1915, son of Henry H. and Eleonora Mina (Rummler) Raabe. He was baptized and confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Farmington and remained in contact with the church and the community all of his life. Meinhardt graduated from the eighth grade at Maple View School, a neighborhood, one-room schoolhouse. He was a graduate of Johnson Creek High School and attended the former Northwestern College in Watertown for three years. He then transferred to the University of Wisconsin-Madison and graduated with a degree in accounting in 1937. While seeking higher education, summers were spent at world fairs and expositions to earn tuition money for the next school year. Meinhardt went on to receive an M.B.A. from Drexel University in Philadelphia in 1970. In June 1937, he began working for the Oscar Mayer Company in accounting and then as “Little Oscar,” promoting their products. Then in November 1938, Meinhardt took a leave of absence to film “The Wizard of Oz” and was cast as the Munchkin Coroner. He then returned to the Oscar Mayer Company and continued his career, billed as the World's Smallest Chef, traveling with the Weinermobile promoting Oscar Mayer products. He worked a combined 30 years for the company. Meinhardt received his private pilot license in 1944 and joined the Civil Air Patrol in 1945 as a ground instructor, teaching navigation and meteorology. He had also taught school in Delaware, Pa., and worked in various capacities for other food brokerage firms as well. Meinhardt married the former Marie Hartline on Dec. 15, 1946, in Akron, Ohio. She preceded him in death on Oct. 22, 1997. As “The Wizard of Oz” gained popularity, so did Meinhardt and the other remaining Munchkins. He appeared at Wizard of Oz Festivals throughout the country and was present when the Munchkins were honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Meinhardt co-authored a book, “Memories of a Munchkin” with Lt. Daniel Kinske, USN. He was a member of Little People of America. He is survived by a sister, Marion Ziegelmann of Watertown; other relatives and friends. Meinhardt was also preceded in death by his parents. Hafemeister Funeral Home 611 E.
