Emmie Lou Weddle died on January 16, 2012 at Winter Park, Orange Co., Florida, at age 83.2 She Emmie Lou Love, formerly of Floyd, Va., with her family beside her, passed away Monday, January, 16, 2012, in her home in Winter Park, Fla. She was born in Check on September, 18, 1928, to the late William and Sue Weddle. She was a devoted and loving wife to her husband Ray, a dedicated and tireless mother to her children Kim and Melanie, an unconditionally loving grandmother to her four grandsons, Michael Alan, Sereth, Merrick and Auston. Emmie Lou Love graduated from LMU College in 1948 at the age of 20 with her degree in Education and began her career of enriching the lives of hundreds of the children she taught and counseled. She received her Masters Degree in Counseling from Rollins College in 1970, and was awarded Teacher of the Year at Lake Weston Elementary in 1980. She retired after 38 years of dedication to the education system in 1986. She was a faithful member of Killarney Baptist Church, Winter Park, Fla. and the Floyd Baptist Church, Floyd. Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Ray Love; her two children, Kim Love, Melanie Love, her sisters; Helen Sue Burgess, Roberte Lee Francis; four grandsons, Michael Alan Geldner, Merrick Ray Geldner, Sereth Dane Love, Auston Piers Love; and two great-grandsons, Malachi Edward Geldner, Mason Ray Geldner. Also surviving are many cherished relatives and friends. The celebration of her life will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, January 21, 2012, at Floyd Baptist Church, with Pastor Joe Womack presiding. Her family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, January 20, 2012, at Gardner Funeral Home, Floyd. In lieu of flowers, Emmie Lou Love and her family request donations to Floyd Baptist Church, P.O. Box 58, Floyd, VA 24091. on January 20, 2012.2

She was preceded in death by her two sisters, Glenna Sprinkle and Pauline Board. Sigrid was a graduate of James Madison University with a degree in elementary education. As a Navy wife of 23 years she traveled with her husband Tom to various posts, when she could, before they settled in Long Beach in 1973. There she became active in the city. As Chairwoman of the city tree board she worked to preserve the beautiful live oaks on the Gulf Coast by registering them in the National Register. Her teaching degree assisted her when she became the children's librarian for the Long Beach Public Library. She was a life member of the Long Beach Garden Club and Master Gardener. Her love of flowers she inherited from her mother. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Thomas (Tom) Seiler; daughter Laura Seiler, of Mobile, Ala; and son Shawn Seiler (Cindy), of Flowery Branch, Ga; nephews Gary, Gordon, Ronnie (Lynn), and Ricky (Lisa) Sprinkle. Services will be held Saturday, May 13, 2017, at Gardner Funeral Home in Floyd. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. with the service to follow. Interment will be at the Restvale Cemetery with a short service, weather permitting. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Myasthenia Gravis Foundation of America. on May 12, 2017.3

She is survived by two sons, H. Nelson Teel, Jr. (Kelly) of Oxford and David A. Teel (Sandy) of Dover, DE; two daughters, Joanne Cheek (Skip) of Oxford and Evelyn T. Alexander (Louis) of Oxford; ten grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and one sister, Thelma Pearl Teel of Oxford. Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at the Mt. She was an avid church and choir member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. Glenna was predeceased by her husband of 49 years, Norman Sprinkle, and sister, Pauline Vest Board. She is survived by her four sons, Gary Sprinkle and his wife, Cate, Gordon Sprinkle, Ronald Sprinkle and his wife, Lynn, and Ricky Sprinkle and his wife, Lisa; seven grandchildren, Drew, Paige, Seth, Kelly, Conner, Travis and Jenna Sprinkle; sister, Sigrid Vest Seiler and her husband, Tom; niece, Laura Seiler; nephew, Shawn Seiler; many special friends, including her beloved dog, Nicholas. Friends are welcome to call Monday, August 4, 2008 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Rader Funeral Home, 630 Roanoke Road, Daleville, where a service celebrating Glenna's life will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Also surviving is a stepdaughter Dianah Parrish, her husband Donnie and children David, Donnie, and Daniel all of Roanoke.
