     Burton Dale Austin Burton Dale Austin of Wilmington, Delaware passed away suddenly on July 20, 2021. He was predeceased by his loving wife, Patricia Ann Austin, in 2019 and by his sister, Faye Elaine Austin, in 2004. Dale was born in Check, VA on April 9, 1939. His parents were Agatha Vest and Burton Austin. He is survived by his three loving children: Jeffrey Michael Austin, Jennifer Dale Polucci and Jason Louis Austin. Jennifer and her late husband Michael gave him two beautiful granddaughters, Elizabeth and Katherine. He is also survived by his brother and sister-in-law James Hermann and Charlotte Austin of TN and their family. Dale was a proud engineering graduate of Virginia Tech. He worked at Boeing Helicopters as a project engineer for 40 years, serving on the Sea Knight, Chinook, and Osprey programs. He always enjoyed knowing that his efforts helped support our military troops. He was an avid golfer and a member of the Boeing Rotorcraft Golf League. After Dale retired, he and Patricia toured all continental states, including Alaska, as well as the provinces of Canada. They visited thirty national parks where they created wonderful travel memories. Later in life, they traveled to Europe to see Ireland, Scotland and Italy. His favorite hobby was gathering with family and working on his family cattle farm in Floyd County, VA where he was born. It was always where the family could enjoy a simpler way of life and enjoy the outdoors. Dale leaves behind a loving family and many wonderful friends and will be deeply missed. He was the husband of Anna M. Teel Andrews of Oxford. The son of the late Russell W. Andrews and Phyllis Briemer, Andrews was born in Streator, Ill. He lived in Oxford for 26 years. Mr. Andrews retired from the U. S. Army as a Lieutenant Colonel in 1985 after 24 years of service. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He received the Meritorius Unit Commendation/Republic of Vietnam Cross of Gallantry with Palm and the Bronze Star Medal. Mr. Andrews was employed for the past 15 years by Pyle's Home and Supply, Avondale, PA. He was a member of the American Legion, Roy. W. Gibson, Post #535, Oxford. He was a volunteer at the Jennersville Regional Hospital, West Grove. He graduated from Penn State University, class of 1959 with a degree in Metallurgy. He received his Masters Degree in 1961 from Penn State University. Besides his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Lynne A.
