Interment will follow in Sherwood Memorial Park. on May 15, 1985.⁶

She was the widow of the late Eldridge L. Whitlock. Nettie retired from Service of America and was a member of First Church of the Brethren. Surviving are her sons, Ronald D. Whitlock and wife, Margaret and James C. Whitlock; daughter, Judith W. Newman and husband, Tom; grandchildren, David Whitlock, Leigh Ann Oden Welder and husband, Rob, Jason Newman, Jessica Whitlock, Lindsey Blackwell and husband, Chris; great-grandchildren, Megan, Trey and Kaylee. The family would like to thank her special caregivers at Avante of Roanoke Health Care Center. Interment will follow at Evergreen Burial Park. on November 12, 2007.²

The wound was self-inflicted, Dr. Charles M. Irvin, city medical examiner, said. Whitlock, a plumber, lived at 748 Brandon Rd., SW, Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Nettie DeWeese Whitlock; two sons, Ronald D. and James G. Whitlock, and a daughter, Judy Elaine Whitlock, all at home; his mother, Mrs. Alice B. Whitlock; two brothers, Leonard and Jesse Whitlock; four sisters, Mrs. J. A. Pedigo, Mrs. Girlie Walker and Mrs. Bertha Angell, all of Roanoke, and Miss Mattie Whitlock, Bluefield, W.Va. Interment will be in Evergreen. on May 2, 1955.⁴

Mr. Holt was born July 5, 1903, a son of the late John W. Holt and Lavina Catherine Shaver Holt. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bessie Deweese Holt and was a member of the Monte Vista Church of the Brethren. Surviving are one sister, Fannie H. Webster, Boones Mill; a very special nephew and his wife, James and Lilly Craighead, Callaway; also several nieces and nephews survive. Burial will follow in the Monte Vista Cemetery. on April 16, 1993.³

Q." Prillaman, son of John Tyler Prillaman and Elvada Esther Conner, on December 26, 1953 at Roanoke Co., Virginia.^1,2,3,4 As of December 26, 1953,her married name was Prillaman.³ Jean Arbra Lumsden died on June 6, 2017 at Orlando, Orange Co., Florida, at age 86.⁴ She Jean Lumsden Prillaman, 86, of Orlando, FL went home to her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, June 6, 2017. She was born in Boones Mill, VA on November 29, 1930, to Jesse and Edna Lumsden. In addition to her parents, Jean was predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Donald Q. Prillaman. Those left to cherish her life include her children, Donna Prillaman (Marc Benigno) of Tampa, FL, Mark Prillaman of Winter Springs, FL, and Lisa Seibert (Carl) of Oviedo, FL; her grandchildren, Payden Seibert (Caitlin), Hannah Seibert Soto (Harold), and Cody Seibert (Tina); and her great-grandchildren, Avery and Annabella Soto. We have many wonderful memories of our mother and grandmother. The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 11, 2017, from 2 to 5 p.m. at Oakey's South Chapel. A service will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, June 12, 2017, at Oakey's South Chapel followed by burial in Restvale Cemetery, Copper Hill, VA. on June 11, 2017.⁴
