"Ms. Dot" was born in Copper Hill, Va., and lived in Roanoke, Va., before moving to The Villages, Fla., in 2010. She was a longtime member of 9th Street Church of the Brethren. Born on March 3, 1922, in Copper Hill, Va., to Daniel Moses Wimmer and Cammie DeWeese Wimmer, Ms. Dot was also preceded in death by her husbands, Ervin Jarrett and Lloyd Tuck; her son, Dwight Jarrett; her stepson, Coy Tuck; her son-in-law, Elwell Barbour; her brothers, Frank and Jack Wimmer; and her sisters, Mamie Cox, Virgie Aldridge, Nell Manning and Hazel Wickham. Dot is survived by three children, Carole (Roland) Jarvis, Linda Barbour and Donald (Rita) Jarrett; two stepchildren, Brenda Tucker and Nancy Bland; six grandchildren, Julie Dietz, Debora Arnold, Richard Barbour, Mark Anthony, Lois Podnar and Patricia Jarrett; 10 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, January 9, 2017, at Oakey's South Chapel on Brambleton Avenue with Pastor Dan Rudy officiating. The interment of ashes will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Monday at the Tuck Family Cemetery in Lynch Station, Va. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the 9th Street Church of the Brethren, 1103 Ninth Street, SE, Roanoke, VA 24013. on January 8, 2017.3

Paul was born on September 20, 1942 in Copper Hill, Va. He is preceded in death by his father, Oliver W. Manning; mother, Nellie Wimmer Manning; half-brothers, Cleve, Herbert, Melvin and Calvin (Jim) Manning; half-sisters, May and Cammie Manning, and Bondeen Barger; his brothers, Oliver Jr., Bobby, Benny, Terry, and David Manning also precede him. Left to cherish his memory are, brothers, Henry, Rocky, Larry, and Michael Manning; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Linda and Tom Iddings and Katherine and Junior Sowers; sisters-in-law, Carmen Manning and Karen Nicholson; numerous nieces and nephews. Paul was a quiet, gentle, and humble man. He proudly served in the United States Army. In his younger days, his life revolved around playing ball with his brothers and attending races. He drove a oil/gas truck for many years in Floyd and Roanoke County. Later in life, Paul enjoyed mowing yards for folks in the Bent Mountain and Copper Hill areas and watching sports. Interment will follow in the Copper Hill Church Cemetery.The family would like to express their appreciation to the staff at Virginia Veterans Care Center and Maberry Funeral Home for their concern and care. on December 2, 2018.8

Born on February 13, 1946, in Roanoke, he was the son of his mother Dorothy Wimmer Tuck and the late Ervin James Jarrett. He was a retired painter and an avid NASCAR fan of Jeff Gordon. Dwight was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Marjorie Lowe Jarrett; his mother, Dorothy Wimmer Tuck, of Roanoke; three daughters, Linda Strom and husband, Rex, of Windsor, Arlene Salmons and husband, Carl, of Richmond, and Lois Podnar and husband, Tom, of Aliquippa, Pa; a son, Arthur Berryman and wife, Rita, of Appomattox; eight grandchildren, Shelly Boles, April Pippens and husband, Mike, Larry Little Jr., Joseph Brunk and wife, April, Angela Berryman and fiance, Roger Stough, Christopher Podnar and wife, Kati, Timothy Podnar and wife, Dana, and Janet Salmons; four great-grandchildren, Stephanie, Allison and Jared Boles and Tracey Pippens; two sisters, Carole Jarvis and husband, Roland, of Chesapeake, and Linda Barbour and husband, Elwell, of Colonial Heights; a brother, Donald Jarrett and wife, Rita, of Winston-Salem, N.C; several nieces and nephews; and many dear friends in Roanoke and Richmond. He is predeceased by a daughter, Mary Virginia Little; and by her husband, Larry Little Sr. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. on Wednesday, August 20, 2008, in the Wakefield Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son. Rev. Mark Dailey and the Rev. Ray Rowland will preside. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery in Surry County. Jr., 72, of Colonial Heights, passed away Wednesday, June 10, 2015. Born in Roanoke, Va., he was the son of the late Elwell D. and Ada Williams Barbour. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Sigmon; and his son-in-law, Thomas Dietz. A U.S. Army veteran, Mr. Barbour retired after a 47-year career as a distinguished law enforcement officer. His career began with the Norfolk Police Department. He later served with the Petersburg Bureau of Police and retired from the Colonial Heights Police Department. After retirement, he served with the Chesterfield County Sheriff's Department. In addition to public service, he was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles 882, an avid hunter and a supporter of the NRA. Mr. Barbour is survived by his wife of 54 years, Linda Jarrett Barbour; daughters, Julie Barbour Dietz and Debora Barbour Dennis; son, Richard Elwell Barbour; grandchildren, Jessica Nicole Dietz, Elizabeth Ann Dietz, George Kyle Dennis, Micaela Lynn Dietz and Madelaine Grace Dennis; great-grandchildren, Reeselyn Ann Dennis, Ryleigh Nellie Dennis and Tara Rae Dietz; sister, Mary Jane Helms; as well as several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, June 15, 2015 at the Chesterfield Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
