Funeral services will be conducted 10 a.m. Monday, November 17, 1997, at Lotz Roanoke Chapel. Interment will follow in Mt. View Cemetery, Vinton. Aldridge is rejoicing in Heaven as of July 22, 2023. She's completely healed and back together with the love of her life Charles, she had missed Dad so much after he passed. She leaves a legacy of love instilled in her three children, five grandchildren, and twelve great-grandchildren who had her support in every way and were loved with all her heart. She is preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Charles Aldridge Sr; sister, Nancy Sink; and brother, Richard Young. In addition to her children, she is survived by her sisters, Helen Janice (Melvin), and Lois Marie (Walter); and brother, Glenn; and numerous nieces and nephews.2 She was born on August 1, 1946 at Henry Co., Virginia.1 She married Charles Bure Aldridge Sr., son of Bure Comrade Aldridge and Virginia Frances Willis, on February 19, 1965 at Roanoke Co., Virginia.1,2 As of February 19, 1965,her married name was Aldridge.1 Peggy Cornelia Young died on July 22, 2023 at Virginia at age 76.2

He loved kayaking and biking. He loved music and cooking. He was an avid collector, a passion he shared with his brother. Joe is survived by his best friend and soul mate of 29 years, Laurie Hager; his devoted parents, Barry and Nelda Wray; and his best friend and brother, Brad, Leigh Ann and Mallory, Laurie's family, and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends in Franklin County and the Outer Banks and their beloved cat, Turbo, all of whom he loved dearly. on March 10, 2022.1
