In addition to his wife, he is also survived by a son, William Berkley Taylor III and wife, Elizabeth, of Madison Heights; three daughters, Sheila Austin and husband, Steve, of Madison Heights, Jackie Stanley and husband, Kenneth, of Culpeper, and Barbara Ragland and husband, Doug, of Forest; a stepson, John M. Cash of Williamsburg; two stepdaughters, Rebecca C. Dean and Barbara Clodfelter, both of Lynchburg; a sister, Nettie Harris of Gladstone; a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and his faithful dog, "Snoopy." He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, two brothers and five sisters. Burial will follow in the Amherst Cemetery with Masonic rites by the Clinton Lodge #73 AF and AM of Amherst. The family would like to express their gratitude to the nurses of Hospice of the Hills for their attentive care of Mr. Taylor during his illness. on May 22, 2009.2

Marvin served our country in the United States Army Air Force and retired from the C & O Railroad after 49 years of service. He was a member of Amherst Baptist Church and two masonic lodges, Clinton Lodge #73 and Trayler Daylight Lodge. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers and one sister. Marvin is survived by is his wife, Anne Miller; daughter, Sharon Miller; two sons, Steven Miller and wife Debbie and Marvin Miller, Jr; four grandchildren, Andrew Monce, Amanda Tilly, Jessica Wingfield, and Augustus Miller; six great grandchildren; and numerous other family members and friends.3 He was buried at Amherst Cemetery, Amherst, Amherst Co., Virginia.9 He was born on February 1, 1928 at Amherst Co., Virginia.1,9,4 He married Anne Louise Hudson on March 25, 1950 at Chesterfield, Chesterfield Co., South Carolina.3,10 Marvin Bishop Miller Sr. died on February 8, 2019 at Madison Heights, Amherst Co., Virginia, at age 91.3,9

Williams and wife, Shirley, of Campbell County; and a daughter, Sheila Hartless, of Pittsburgh, Pa; a sister, Doris Parker of Springfield; a nephew, Richard G. Fields of Madison Heights; and a niece, Martha Fields of Georgia; five grandchildren, Tamara, Robert and Michael Hartless and Whitney and Randy Williams, seven great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends. A graveside service will be conducted at Meade Cemetery, by the Rev. Jim Freeman. on December 14, 2005.2
